Blast from the past this thread lol!!! Not sure on the painting side, but with the halogen cornering headlamps/ or xenon units the loom is different to them. They have different multiplugs for the cornering lights.......
They have the options of Xenons....... 172/182's didnt come with Brembo...
The White allen key type bolts 100% adjust the hight of each unit. Yes they are self leveling (off the cars rear beam), but you still need to be able to adjust the beam hight of each cluster (if knocked when taken out etc)
I'd say if your getting those figures, you'll see more like 30+ in the 197. My 172 Cup and 182 were giving around the same..... (low 30's) You need to drive harder :rasp:

Its the width :o Think about it, MK2 Clios are normally shod with skinny 13/14" wheels. The Renaultsport are 16's on the phase 2's, and are wide, so therefore lack of room under each arch. The 182's are the worst with the 205 section tyres. On full lock they...

Ah fair enough! Yeah not too expensive either iirc. Before that though i'd check the ariel threads, and the clamp under the rooflining has a good earth to the roof etc
I had my old standard 182 against a standard 197, and it was who ever pressed the loud pedal first...... splitting hairs speed wise. I'd put good money on my 197 being bang on with Christophers. Its now got 25k on the clock, so nicely run in ;)
