I wouldn't say it will sell quicker...it may well (probably will) sell for more. But quicker?
Alan pointed out there was something like 3,000 197/200s registered..and there's only a small percentage of those on here/clio197.net/renaultsport.co.uk.
There's plenty of people out there who would...
Sorry to hear this, glad you're OK.
To pick up on your point above, we should all drive to our limit points i.e. how far we can see the road to be clear. It does mean that you have to crawl around corners that otherwise invite pace, but the plus side is that you've always enough time to react...
The lack of market for a 'poorly' specced 200/197 or problems at resale time is a myth IMO.
Try selling mine on here and I'd likely get no interest.
But if I actually tried selling it to the non-RS fan motoring public en masse, I don't expect I'll have even the slightest issue. We'll see in a...
Never seen the other bloke before. For what the film was, I thought he came across fine...the usual sightly irritating American.
From start to end, thought that film was excellent. Really got the sense that there were several more hours idle chat on cars there for the taking.
Nailhead firmly...
So very true.
They're deemed an absolute must have for the CS sheep just like Silvervisons LOL
If being 'held in' is what makes a good driving experience, the standard seats are more than adequate. They even cope on track just fine as well.
Plus, after 30k miles the standard seats still look...
Red calipers, anthracite wheels, much firmer springs/dampers, 7% (I think) quicker steering rack.
How do they compare? Couldn't tell you, I've never driven one with Cup suspension.
What I can say after having covered 13k + 2 trackdays in my non-cup 200 is that the cup setup is not needed. My...
Yep. Looks like it was an impatient undertake to me, hence him breaking traction under acceleration as he turned sharply into the outer lane.
As for not stopping, would depend on it being payroll day or not.
My 172 Cup was similar to f0xy, from new to 130k miles, changed oil every 6k, gave it eleventy million trackdays/sprints, all with a 7,750 rpm raised rev limit.
Was still knocking out 180+ bhp when I finally sold it.
Sniff.
I'm currently on a set of AD08s, on the road there's not much between them and a good set of premium tyres (I was running Michelin PE2 beforehand) as ultimate grip levels are soooooo high for both, and if you regularly drive at/beyond the grip available from a set of PE2s, you want locking up...

But your argument itself holds little water, does it not?
Stretched beyond what's meant for them, extra load/heat from extreme camber...surely you'd want something that you know isn't going to randomly decide one day to spit you off the road?
I understand the bigger wheels are not fitted to upgrade performance as such, but surely on a 1,500 kg 250 bhp car, you should have at least some grip?
If not, seems kind of pointless having a 250 bhp car.
This is what put me off when I had my Zetec-S V6. Used to waft everywhere in absolute comfort, but never really properly got hold of it and drove it. Couldn't afford to at the time. Shame as the chassis made it a real b-road weapon.
LOL, don't get me started on DFS. Anyone that pays even 50% of their alleged RRP is a bit stupid IMO.
Massively overpriced poor quality tat masked by continual discounting, interest free credit, buy now pay later, anything to keep you from seeing that you're paying far too much for far too little.
