Does anyone run a manual steering rack?
Before people say it's to hard and not worth it, I use the car just for track and is trailered around everywhere.
I am racing the car next year and I keep having issues with my power steering at the minute so think I might just bin it all off and go...
@Tomotek cone down/up to Oulton in October I thinks it's the 3rd me and @Scottty4eva are going down to meet the team as we are hoping to join the championship next year!
should be able to have some more feedback regarding the federal RSR tomorrow - on a track day at anglesey tomorrow and its given warm temp with drizzle and rain so I will run some different pressures and see how we get on.. I also run 888 so we shall see.
Ahh right okay....would you say they were worth the money? Like I said earlier we might have 2 cars in the championship next year and maybe thinking 2 different set ups
Hopefully if all goes to plan with the 2 cars we can have one with a throttle bodies set up and one with RS2 set up - did someone say they are back for sale....?
Like Scotts thread said he is doing a full rebuild mine will just be converted from its currect 'Track day state'
Do you all prefer...
Yeah jsut looking at options at the minute, I think @Scottty4eva who is also joing will be using throttle bodies so will have to see what works better. However it would be nice to have 2 cars that are in the championship with different set ups that are still competative
Very Interesting, my car is no where near that bhp yet but still debating what set up to get...bodies (If i can find the money) alos was tempted with the old/new JMS RS2 inlet set up correctly seems to be okay...your thoughts would be good on this.
However just for comparison I currently run...
just rang the saftey devices... great chat with Mark after discount and getting the best possible cage for the championship look at around £1300 for 2. Suppose thats not bad.
@Adam G thanks for the note, Like I said I think we are okay with the fitting I am currenlty running half a cage which is only bolted in, however my mate who does welding is very good so will get him weld/position and hopefully and a cheaper cost haha
Do you have a link or anything to view the...
Just found this one at customer cages http://www.customcages.co.uk/Rollcage/LoadRollCage.castle?manufacturer=Renault&model=Clio MK2 Clubman&type=6 Point could be a winner
I Have a friend who does welding for a living so he was going to do the fitting for us as my mate who is doing it need it positiong abit different behind the drivers seat.
We are based in Cheshire so that far for us @Chambers_RS
I will see if i can find the group buy though and if they are a...
@Scottty4eva we need to get them cages on order... or if any of you guys can sugegst any other places to get FIA cages from @sonny172cup, @Apg100, @Russ Rallye, @Mini182, that would be great.
Looks good @sonny172cup my list is getting longer and longer for next year if i want to be competetive, do you know aht bhp you are running? I know people say its problably more about handaling and good driving but would be interesting to know looking at your engine/setup
Im not to bothered about the marks they make it is a car just for track and will be racing next year....
I have been given this link of an old thread http://www.acwmotorsportplastics.co.uk/renault-clio-mk2-3dr.html has anyone used them they look cheap and can get sliders in them
@Tony Hunter me and @Scottty4eva will be coming down to inspect and get some ideas haha
I think mainly it's just to get an idea of what people are running and what we need for sure...if anyone could recommend somewhere for plastic windows that would be great or know of anyone selling any let me...
@Apg100 Cheers mate, We will consider it thanks for the offer. Will you be at Oulton Park in October?
@TarkMalbot If you have a look in the 'Project Thread' at 'Scotts road to Tricolore Trophy' me and him are going to be joining the Tricolore Trophy next season, are you considering this too?
What do you think of it @sonny172cup or are you yet to try it yet?
The problem I have had with my standard system is the pressure switch blowing (Literally blew apart) sounds like a common problem reading some threads but was very surprised. Hense why I bought a new one.
