After my run-in with a turn-in cone last weekend, I'm just about to stick the Cup on axle stands and get underneath.
Bloke in the pits said the same thing happened to him, and that the 'pinch-bolt' had been knocked causing the linkage to not line up properly or something. Trial and error fixed...
Not done Oulton. The only time I dragged my ass up there for a day the trip up the night before took 9 hrs, and when I finally found the circuit in the next morning it was under 4 inches of snow.
It's on my list for this year though without question.
The only other circuit I could liken...
The first is an analysis of consistentcy [sp?] around the hardest corner I've got experience on.

This next one is the reason for my 'off' at the end of the day.

Enjoy.
Dawdlers at roundabouts don't cause accidents. If someone ploughs into the back of them...who's fault is that exactly?
What they do do, is royally f*** up smooth traffic flow, and them along with middle lane hoggers are a massive factor in traffic congestion.
That alone deserves a kick in...
LMAO, so what should I be aiming for next?
The CTR...was one of the slowest things out there all day. If I was in my 1.6 Focus I'd have gone past him almost as quick...so no comparisaons can be drawn from this video at all!
I've only ever found torque steer to be an issue with well worn tyres, apart from that most of the time it's not an issue.
As far as brakes go, try the search as there's so many different opinions.
I've tried most and settled on Carbon Lorraines with plain Brembo HC discs + lines and a fresh...
Yup, nothing more serious than that...didn't brake or detach, just took a whack from the cone I went over so needs readjusting.
Managed to find 2nd in the pits but then that was it...so the 7 miles home was interesting at junctions and also very loud LOL
Lesson learned is...take axle stands...
No problem...should be there this year.
This time out I had Dunlop D01Js on the front, and Yoko A048s on the back. Only got experience of them and Yoko A032s as well. My favourites are the A32s, but only because I got them as 205s not 195s.
It barely moved, no idea what the driver was...
I use it when I teach/instruct IAM bods.
Was a fun day, only 25 cars in total so loads of track time.
I also had an embarrassing 'incident' at the end of the day...video of that to follow.
