Did you inspect the heatshield? It may be the movement of the exhaust under load causing it to make contact with the heatshield.

May have been fitted because of a dodgy ignition barrel. My friends ignition barrel won't go to the crank position. So we installed a starter button.

T rating means they are good for 118mph. H is good for 130mph but I tend to find that V rated tyres are cheaper and they are good for 149mph.
