I can't comment on a modified setup, but I've done 104k including more than a few trackdays/sprints in it, all on 3 standard sets of springs/dampers.
As an all round compromise, they're pretty f***in' good :approve: Renaultsport got it spot on IMO.
Sorry to hear this. If it helps any, Rentech are brilliant. The only ones ever to have touched my car...104k so far.
If you do decide to repair, a trailor down to Portsmouth would be worthwhile.
I haven't got a speedo vid of my speedo, but I've got a close up of my rev counter doing a low-rev to limiter run in 3rd (3rd starts at 1:03 ish) - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=xqhSYf4nBBo
3 to 7k rpm, yours takes 11 seconds, mine takes 7.5...did you have a boot full + passenger?
Mine's been serviced religiously every 6k from new, and regularly abused on track.
Most of the regular Renault problems are sorted early on in their lives...I had 3 wiring looms within the first 36k, and it's been fine since all the way to 103k so far.
I think there's quite a few at 100+...
Craving attention is a powerful instinct, never more prevalent than among the 'car modder'.
A curious breed, they subscribe to the "if it's different, it's betta" school of thought.
How wrong they are...thats F***ING rank. Almost every single thing on it is different to standard...and that...
LOL - I soooo wanted a Spectrum 48K but I went for the Oric as it had a better programming language and pre-programmed sounds "Zap, Shoot, Ping, Explode" LOL
Before that though...me and my sister used to lose weekends to gaming pleasure on one of these...
Never looked in here and I've missed out...this thread is p**n tbqfh.
I'd love to do something similar to this to my Cup...but have neither the skills, knowledge, space, or time to do it.
Maybe when the mortgage is history I can throw a wedge at someone who'll do it all for me LOL
Great...
Try squaring up to the junction so you can see both ways..regardless of road/lane markings and angle.
Need to do this in a lot of vans, no problem so long as you're not in anyone else's way.
If you want a real challenge and something to showcase your talents and abilities in a portfolio...make my 172 Cup look good again?
Would take a little effort but the before/after shots would show quite a change.
