LOL - the tractor look (if you don't bother slammin' it)... Drives just fine...a little softer/more squidgy...but you've really got to be driving at 11/10ths to notice. Worth it for the increased variety of rubber available alone. The cheap price is a bonus.

LOL, I wasn't misinformed and I'm not an oik!!! I mention about not being able to afford to REPLACE them, and I get abuse followed by a link to a thread showing how they can cost effectively be RE-BUILT. Let's see...how many people get standard dampers rebuilt once they start leaking? None...

I'd be an ill informed oik if I had said "you won't be able to afford to get them re-built"...but I didn't did I? Wasn't the search to find someone who could re-build them was because of the extorionate cost to replace them? Please read what's written before responding.

Can't say I've noticed any difference low down, still kicks up at 4k, then again much harder at 5k. Does seem to pull harder through from 5k though, and continues right through 7k too. Difficult to tell, as it always had enough to spin the wheels in 2nd before this change so can't feel...

For the record, accidents aren't generally caused by tyres, but by drivers exceeding the grip available to them. If you have sh*t tyres, drive slower. A539s were always fun in the wet for me.

I think that might have been me. I ran a set (orange) for a while...had brake fade problems with Pagid Blues so swapped for some TSWs and I've been fine since. That's not to say it wasn't a change in my driving though...but with almost as much spoke as space I always thought they might...

I can't say my ITG panel filter made a difference to the performance. Definitely did to my wallet though. ITG foam panel filter = £47 x1 = 102k miles = £47. Renault paper filter = £15 x17 = 102k miles = £255. So yes, in the long run they're worth it.
