I couldnt get the 8mm bolt off so I took the positive off by disconnecting the 13mm.. everything looks in the right order there doesnt it?

Is that plastic positive thing needed/vital? Cant see any wire crimpage. Last night when I broke down i just had to poke around where the top 13mm bolt was and it gave power so ive tightened it and no luck..

I havent renewed it in my ownership (almost 4 years) but it was perfect before I fiddled with it to fit my steering wheel and battery cover etc.

Gone to try and tighten it as im still having issues, and this thing has snapped.. causing it short out maybe?? Or anything else look wrong there?

Well I got home and it drove fine! Seemed some strange symptoms for a loose battery but im (clearly) no mechanic!!

Bought it used, but im sure @Simon@SprayShack could knock up similar. Did a great job on my gearstick insert.

Poked around with a screwdriver in the rain, massive spark almost hit me in the face. Seems I didnt secure the positive battery wire the other day..

Driving a long, car suddenly feels like it hit the limiter for a split second and the green gearstick light and eml came on, then went, all normal. Went in shop, came out, key in, no dash lights, nothing. Left it, then it started. 10 seconds later it did the limiter thing again and cut out, and...

I still cant get over how aggressive it sounds!

Finally got round to kind of sorting this. Should be booked in for after christmas. Had some laughable quotes of £400 etc. One bodyshop said can't you go down a scrapyard and take a spoiler from one of those. 'Son, this is a cup spoiler i'll have you know..'
