if you dissconnect the vac pipe to the valve, it causes an air to leak into the inlet that hasn't passed through the filter,, wich in turn creates erratic idle etc. This pipe must be blanked when removing the acoustic valve maybe you fault is the dreaded temp sensor 182's seem to suffer, iirc...

remove the reno mount off the car, has 3 bolts iirc, place the magnex one over the holes, then refix the reno mount over the top

anyone got any info on a clio dynamique + 1.6 16v talking bhp 0-60 etc? need some info, cheers :)

what you do is remove the reno clamp, then a second clamp (shown under the the tailpipes) is sandwiched between the car body and the reno clamp.... if that makes sense lol

ah, well if it was still connected to the valve then it would have been ok

did you blank off the vaccum hose from the inlet?

doubt it, never did with the megane, the cup versions etc have suspension tweeks and different wheels, but nothing as balls out (meaning weight saving etc) as a 172 cup

people say i'm waiting for the cup version etc, but wouldn't the lightest version be the bog standard 197 with no options......?

i have h&r's, i never used em in a track so i couldn't comment, but they are perfect for road use. have a look on yozzasport, they do bilstiens (SP) which are the dogs swingers, infact look at the group buy they have......

trust me don't get gaz, 'buy cheap buy twice' that was my experience with them. love the h&r's, the damping may be fixed but it spot on imo

yep i was there also, though not in my cup as i don't think i'd get to park as its far too low lol! saw verious rs's in the carpark, saw maz's and the cup, the above 172 with dark turinis whilst i was getting an icecream lol!. had a good walk round, also got sun burnt, but never saw the sun...

edit just seen you need a back box too, you'll be better off with a stealth as mentioned above, or a magnex, if you still have the cat these aren't too noisy

a centre section from reno is £280.... i got one last november, if the backbox is ok, you need a sleave to connect it to the centre section, these are £18

on my old punto gt, if you disconnected the vac pipe to it, it stopped, some guys just bunged them up, but i thought that might be too much lol and left mine connected i'd imagine its just the solinoid getting noisy, it can hardly be heard outside the car, doesn't bother me

if the tapping on idle dissapears onced revved to about 3-4k.... then comes back after a min or so its the caharcoal canistor solinoid... its to do with fuel vapours

agree totally, but i'd be very suprised if a quailty exhauxst system made anymore than around 5 hp on a N/A engine, and when some of these systems nearly come in at 1k, thats alot of $$ for not much gain
