Yeah it’s weird. I thought I could read the market but lately it’s gone bonkers. I mean it’s not a bad thing as I still own a restored 83k RB 182, but by these prices mine should sell for £10,000 which is crazy in my opinion.

If the gearbox is off you could check the crankshaft oil seals and also the thermostat housing gaskets are prone to leak. Have you looked around the sump for leaks as they can weep from overage gaskets? I changed all 3 of the above when my engine was out for a good clean up as these cars are...
Well thats just it mate. I have held off for too long so now its time to take the car off the road for a bit and set about getting everything done before anything gets worse. Will be a long process but will be worth it..... I hope 😂😂

I've used them on the road and found them fine. The same goes for Nappa and Apec. All ok for general road use.
