Used 16v brakes on front of mines, and a rear disc coversion from an rsi.
Engine conversions are probably the best £ for performance mod.
Mines runs a 1.7t form a volvo

Looks a good start.
What i would do is,
Lower it (60mm is a good bet)
Get some ph 1 172/sport lights
clear/smoked side reps
light tints
de-locked?
Ph2 rear lights

Mines is down 60-70mm on ph 1 172 wheels and it needs spacers on the rear. 3mm only though, if you go really low the wheels rub off the top shock bolt.

It was ment to be done last year, but after stripping the engine out etc, my turbo engine wasnt going to be ready for FCS. So i put it all back together again with the 1.4 and took it to FCS!!!

Its on standard managment yes. The ECU is not dear so im not going to make the jump yet.
As ive said i have built another engine which will go on standalone managment.
Standard T2 at the moment yes, but i have a T25 there for it.
