i believe its the DCi 80's that produce the best MPG figure as it takes less effort for the engine to move the vehicle. the 100's are about the same as yours.

Yeah I know they are bad anyway but mine has got a lot worse since I've had it. Just wondered if it's worth replacing? It actually fell out of 3rd gear while accelerating when I hit a pot hole (it wasn't even big)
Went under the car last night to check the dogbone mount and it looks like it has been replaced quite recenly. While I was there had a wiggle of the gear linkage and it's ridiculously slack. Now am I right in thinking that just above the cat behind the heatshield is a ball joint? And if so...

but yeah i prefer the pre-facelift model. they drive brilliantly (agree with the steering fault though) and the vtec is very addictive. would love to own one one day if there are any prefacelift straight ones...
