No you take the cover off the seat from the bottom at the back. The leather is hooked around a thing at the bottom. unhook and pull up to the top and take a look.

The mechanism will have screwed up inside the seat I reckon. Pull the cloth covering the back of the seat off and have a look inside. Should be fairly obvious whats broken.
