Thats not the best place TBH. Put it on the rear seat belt mounts. they bolt straight to the chassis. Give it a clean with some sand paper first to get a good earth. Dave

I am looking into putting a 17t lump in my Rt. Putting valver brakes on and a proper suspension set up but not sure on the exhaust. Will the Rt exhaust be ok (dont want the bore size restricting power)? Or would i be better getting a 1.8 16v exhaust (bigger bore?) or something custom made...

If its a Mk1 then there is a HUGE gromet on the passengers side bulkhead that feeds through to under the glove box. If its a Mk2 then there is one under the power steering resviour. Hope this helps dave Ps. remember to run the power cables on the oposite side to the RCAs to stop interferance.
