    2 different BHP for valvers..

    There not both valver engines! The 137bhp one is the 1.8 16v F7P fitted to the 16v, and 110bhp is the 1.8 8v F3P engine fitted to the RSi.

    16x7j will be fine. What wheels are they? I had 15x7j in ET37 (standard offset) on my old 1.6 and they didn't rub.

    Wasn't a dCi100 then, will have been a 65 or 80. The 100 never came with the JB3 box like the 65/80.

    Well you can get a set of rear bearings for £40 or so. So you still save a fair bit really. But as most people haven't got access to a press its not worth the bother. GDI were the cheapest I found for the full assembled items, there genuine renault ones too.

    NGK PFR6E-10 are the standard spec, i'm using bosch super 4s without any problems but people say there crap for some reason.

    HGF letting water into the cylinder would cause both symptoms. Isn't a common thing although it does happen.

    Wheels just got a cover on it. Looks like the real deal, can't see any telltale signs its been a conversion either. So thats a strange one for sure, it must've been fitted aftermarket.

    DIALS Mk1 Phase 2

    They're not, if you put a set of dials from a Ph3 into a Ph1 or Ph2 then the rev counter won't work and visa versa. Its wired differently with the Ph3 due to the introduction of the DIET D7F engine.

    Yes the ITG panel filter and the samco bend are standard swap bits yes. As for the remap I imagine you'd have to refit the standard ecu then get it remaped I would've thought. Although it may be possible to get the grp N one done then you've got a straight swap back for the standard ecu/map.

    Behind(ish) the nearside suspension turret. You can only just see it, if you follow the bonnet release cable it'll lead to you it.

    If it were the ECU then it wouldn't start. Seeing as the whole things dead as a dodo i'd imagine its something else.

    Where can I find the ABS sensor?

    Yep theres a speedo sensor in the gearbox. Hence why you need to make sure its a cup gearbox when you need a new one. All the Ph2 onwards barring the cup use the ABS. But I think some of the Ph1s that predate multiplexed wiring are using speedo sensors as well.
