Ooooo i can feel this is going to escalate. Honda rang me just now and said two problems. First oil leak from EGR. Don't really care about that, it has been blanked and a small coolant leak from one of the pipes. They are also trying to charge me for the work which i kicked off about so i'm...
Drive to Edinburgh was uneventful and the car didn't have any problems. However it is going back to Honda tomorrow as there has been a coolant leak since they replaced the manifold. I hope its simple and doesn't end up escalating...
I don't think i have ever checked the meets section on here if i'm honest.
Usually my friend just messages me about stuff he has seen on FB and we just go, normally ends up being retail/car parks/industrial estates etc. I would be happy to go to something more organised, but i don't have a Clio...
My headunit came with a cage, but it was too big for the Honda surround as it only takes 103mm cages and even then I had to trim a little and it was tight. I used all the brackets and stuff that came with the headunit but because it's so tight it's probably never going to come back out lol would...
Wait what, I knew Samsung were going to unveil their foldable phone at MWC with the S10, but i think they have done it early. I just saw the latest Samsung advert on TV and it was there!
Not sure if your normal tv would have usb ports, but could get something like a Chromecast. Not sure if you can cast netflix from phone. Haven't done any research on it.
Argos tends to do pretty good deals. Game wise you have Forza, Project Cars 2 and Assestto Corsa from what i can remember. Best played with a steering wheel the last two.
So thanks to some help from @Danith i figured out how the brackets fit to the stereo. I will put it in on my lunch break i think. Just a couple of photos of how i ran cables etc and how it stands currently lol. Just ran the DAB aerial and mic along the factory wiring into the stereo area, wasn't...
Dam I have been defeated.
I did all the hard work of getting the old stereo out, I ran the wires for dab aerial and mic. Plugged it in upgraded the firmware ran a test on DAB all good. Sadly I can't get the stereo to attach to the cage I got. I didn't order the one @Danith linked me I got a...
Exactly, even a new car i bet i would find things that end up annoying me.
Good on you for stopping smoking, i'm trying now and its tough.
Anyways just got the firmware update ready, going to have a quick snack then crack on. hopefully a good update shortly!
its just the way it goes, if i want the car to be reliable and work for years then i don't mind putting a bit of money in at the start to makes sure mechanically its all good. Which it now is so hopefully no further issues.
I don't think anything i have done, apart from the Manifold was expensive. Just servicing with good quality parts and the rear brakes. Every car needs maintenance, the stereo is just a luxury, especially as im going to Edinburgh this week and its a good 6+ hours away.
Doing things on the cheap...
Long morning and afternoon sadly no pictures as I was busy working away.
Carried out the full service so air, fuel, oil, oil filter, gearbox oil, pollen filter, wiper blades with all genuine parts.
I would love to meet the cretin that changed the last fuel filter as it was so tight, I had to...
K-tec is far from me, but i have always wanted to check it out.
How far is Chris at EFI from you or Engine Dynamics. Andy at ED mapped my 182 with 197 cams and it was lovely.
@YorkshireKyle Can i ask why you went for an S9 when the S10 is just around the corner?
I personally can't wait to see what Samsung reveal in 12 days time. Hopefully the foldable phone will make its debut.
