Having paid my deposit to New Car Discount.com in the middle of July, and twice there being delays which pushed back delivery of my Cup, Ive had it confirmed today that I should see it during the week ending 7 November.
At f***ing last! Barely two weeks to go...I feel sleepless nights coming on...
That e-mail came from Janice at New Car Discount did it? Shes copied almost word for word my e-mail to her, chasing up where my Cup is. I was concerned that they didnt have a confirmed allocation of Cups, and were just sat on my deposit until I finally gave up and asked for it back. So to try...
Im waiting for a Cup from New Car Discount.com. Ordered it during the middle of July...was told delivery would be mid-September...which then became the middle of October...which has now become early November!
The only reason Im aware of all this is because Ive contacted them...not once have...
Was quoted £848 for 4 Dunlops (225x40x18) by National Tyres...that was before I discovered the joys of internet tyre shopping.
I think Im gonna stick with Michelen Exaltos when the Cup finally gets here...was the best price seen for these anyone?
1500 kgs and tyres @ >£200 per corner for decent rubber! The same as my current Mondeo except the Ford barge doesnt go half as well.
Hence my continued wait for a Cup...£70 per corner does it for me!
Me too, going everso slightly mad now. Saw a Cup on the road for the first time on Friday...f****** hated it...I should be in one, I should be in one, I should be in one...repeat ad infinitum.
From what Ive read, the Exaltos are now standard fit on 172/Cups.
Im struggling to get my head round Renault putting a more expensive, better tyre on as standard, I mean, that would cost them money surely?
Contis come out quite well? Shouldnt that be they come out quite bad?
Am I reading it right? 1 is good, 6 is bad? That makes the Contis 2nd worst doesnt it?
As far as Max Power goes, I think a name change for the club would be necessary before wed really fit in...itd have to be "ClioShow.net".
Ive bought it occasionally in the past and I find it incredulous that they preach to the gullible (no offence to anyone intended) that to make your car...
I bought a "Bluefin" unit for my Mondeo direct from Superchips...£299 and 12-14bhp increase on the standard 168bhp.
E-mailed them beforehand asking for availability details...was told itd upgrade OK. Checked their website "Mondeo 97 onwards" it said. When I ordered I stated in my order, which...
When Evo had a Mk1 172 they put Exaltos on it once the Contis had worn out. From what I recall reading, ultimate grip levels are slightly down from the Contis, but you get a lot more throttle adjustability. I really miss the lift-off-oversteer that was inherent in my old Pug 306, so I hope mine...
Finally got a delivery date from New-Car-Discount.Com for the Cup...and Im now not going to get my hands on it until about 7th November. It doesnt arrive at Renault UK until the 5th, and I should see it a couple of days later.
Its been eight weeks since I ordered it already...I was starting to...
The supercharger whine...
Want your car to sound like a Cooper S? Simply drive everywhere in reverse...!
Thats what really struck me when I had a blat in one. F***ing awful.
The minimum weights (from memory) are 900 kgs wet, and 975 kgs with a driver. Any team thats bang on the minimum weight is going to have a pretty good power-to-weight ratio...but is that enough to crack 100 mph in 10.5 seconds???
Bear in mind that not all APR figures are strictly comparable. The APR % basis of expressing the true cost of a finance deal was introduced so that consumers could compare like with like and shop around. Over the years the definition of what constitutes the APR has become slightly vague, so you...
If you got the car with the full 60k/3yr warranty job Id say they should be doing all of that at their own expense, with the exception of the brake clean.
Sounds pretty s*!t to me that thats all gone wrong in only 24k miles.
Not sure if this helps but a recent revision to the supply and sale of goods act means that the burden of proof now rests with the supplier.
What does this mean?
Well, regardless of what you buy, if it develops a fault within the first six months of ownership it is deemed to have existed at...
I was supposed to be getting a Cup delivered this week, based on Renaults production of 172/Cups during the first week of September. This has production been pushed back to next week, so expect to see the new ones appearing on the roads in a week or two...Ive been told to expect mine w/c 13 October.
I always thought that Id never get into modding cars, but with the Cup on order, and having been researching everything I can find on this forum, the temptation is to great to resist! So I started thinking...
I want to keep the whole car looking as standard as possible, but just want to...
