Nope, not avaliable on any RS's afiak. The paint code will be on the oval plate on the drivers door shut, usually starts MV*** where *** will be three numbers.
Don't think so, I know for a fact that the plug from the autoleads one is completely different to the incartec one.
If you got it from cad then just send them an email and they'll sort it out with you to get another one if its damaged.
Take the screw out of the handle under that black cover, then the handle will just lift out. No idea about the price from renault, knowing them not cheap.
The fronts have two clips that you need to press in and the grill will pop out. Have a look at the grill and you'll see the cutouts for them.
The rears you just pull the grill off, its only held in by clips (unless its a 5dr).
High end stuff, look very stock. Not the best looking or the most flashy but the sound quality will be A1.
Won't see the most out of one if your just changing the headunit but if you like the stock look then you can't go far wrong.
...will be fully payed for of course, paintwork could do with a good going over and I don't simply have the skills, equipment or patients(sp?) to do it.

Its the prettyier lcd looking graphical screen rather than the normal text only one. The pictures i've posted are of the biolite screen, the pictures Lee posted are of the normal one.
Renault will give it to you for the pleasure of around £20 I think, although I'm not sure if you need to prove it came from your car which could be difficult in this situation.
The 172 cd players came with a silver fascia I think and it may be a different shape fascia from the pics i've seen...
