mine are a bit worse that that mate from the looks of it!
but im hoping they should be fine for a few months, my mate who helped me fit them said dont do any 'jumps' incase the spring dislodges mid-air, but with the weight of the car on them under a bit of hard cornering they should be fine...
haha, then the front would be lower on mine!!
ill sell them u cheap when i get my apex kit if you want??
saw a few pics of your car the other day on here, looks really nice mate!
yeah, they are 15's on the car, with 195/50's
hopefully will only be on for about 2/3 months max, only wanted 35mm just to make the car sit better on the wheels until i got coilovers or a kit, with the car fully jucked the springs look asthough they could fall off the mounts, not very good!
theres a member on here called gibsonandboynetrimming i think, they are a profession trimming company as far as i can tell from what has been said on the forums, give them a pm.
yeah, but the thing is thats with the interior out and nothing in the back, those pics look higher than in real life for some reason, if i go to put my hand in the arch then it wont go in horizontal, i have to bend my fingers around the tyre
just go on ebhay mate, i got 2 pairsd delivered for £6something, work fine, look ok!
just to let you know i have had mine for about 9months anbd all 4 still work fine so they do last longer than you think with ebay!!
right, here are a few pics, they are bad but the best i could get in the dark on my ohone and a torch!
what do you think??
http://s104.photobucket.com/albums/m195/clio_peps/
yeah, thing is its super low at the back, coilover style i think!
never thought to compare the springs when i put them on so...
might get some pics later, going to a pub with a lit car park so might be able to get a few half decent ones.
put on the rear springs earlier, which i bought from V1NNY, now he sold them as 40mm lowering springs, and i cannot fit my finger inbetween the tyre and arch on the rear with out forcing it around the tyre, which i am not too happy about, didnt want it that low on just springs,
i know it will...
sorry mate havent got a pic, but where the parcel shelf fits in, and theres a grill eaither side, just behind where the rea passengers heads will go, i threaded the wires through that grille and put the tweeters just on the grill if u get me?
i can get a photo tomorrow and post it up if you...
thanks for the comments, ive already got some sony xplod good door speakers, but i prefer to fade my music more rearwards which is why i put them in the back.
all in now, soldered all the connections so hopefully they will work as good as they are now for as long as i have them!!
yeah i know where you mean mate, id just prefer them easier to put in! im lazy, id put the tweeters behind where the passengers ear is at each side, and the crossover boxes under the plastic panel.
although i have no rear seats so no passengers!"
nothin wrong with chopped springs kiza!!
to be honest i didnt think they would cost so much in total, coilovers i mean, say £450 for the kit, and then fred@yozza said budget for £200/£250 for fitting and setup, cant really justify £700 on suspension on a 1.2!
where as about £350-£400 for an...
yeah, but its only a 1.2, so probably wont do any, possibly 1 or 2 track days
was thinking about getting an apex -60 kit, then buying some more springs and shaving a bit off of them!
spoke to him in another thread about coilies etc, but thing is they are expensive, so if i can get a susp. kit that will take me 70mm+ lower then ill go for that option!
no according to the tyre test on mytyres.co.uk :P
i was going to get the GSD3's to be honest, but it was a 2 week waiting time, plus they were £20 more for a set, and had heard good things about the proxes, they are definately awesome tyres, if the GSD3's are better then they must have some...
whats a rain repellant!? an umbrella??
i use the pink halfords stuff, its as good as any ive used, only complaint is using it on the windscreen and then having the heaters on hot air full blast, it stinks!!
