Mine had new cup shocks fitted a few years ago and Grams springs.
I'd say the Grams springs are better than the original springs in terms of handling.
I've also got a full set of brand new cup springs because like you say, lots of things are NLA. I've been stock piling a fewvspare parts for a...
I don't have any pics. There's probably some knocking about on an old Nokia phone somewhere lol.
The only change visually is the Skoda Fabia splitter and the Yozzasport exhaust which has been on for the best part of 17 years.
I've run TRW front and rear pads on my 182 for years. They last absolutely ages, very little dust and they have good bite even when pushing on. That's on the road, not track.
To be honest. The 2nd one I had fitted only lasted a couple of weeks and was faulty so I went back to the garage and fitted another. That must have been 10 or 11 years ago now. Hopefully there's still plenty of life left in this one 🤞🤞
Pretty much so. It's on its 3rd alternator and 3rd battery and one driveshaft replaced plus the spoiler brake light was playing up a couple of weeks ago. It once threw the aux belt off but a million to one chmace it jammed and don't take out the cambelt.
Other than that, it's been very...
Yeah. I think there's Darren and a couple others who've also had theirs since new. There can't be that many 1 owners about.
If I'd have left a few more weeks it would have been on an 06 plate, which would have been very rare, but I needed it on the road asap.
20 years ago today that I bought this, brand new with 8 delivery miles on the clock now it's at 136k miles and still my daily driver.
It still scrubs up well 😁
They worked with the last led board I had it in there. It only failed because it got wet so I cut the wires off the failed led board so I had more to work with when I came to replace it. It was a bit of a t**t to solder them because the wires aren't very long, they're almost inside the spoiler...
Strange problem this.
I'm replacing the led pcb in my spoiler brake light.
I have 12 volts coming through the wires in the spoiler. The replacement led pcb works when I plug it into a 12 volt supply in the house.
When I connect the wires together, the leds don't come on and the voltage drops...
I'm pretty sure it's like you said, they use a sealant to put the window in.
You're probably better off taking it to a windscreen place and they'll take it out and reseal it.
Sorry. I should have been more specific. It's Dettol liquid antiseptic, as in the photo.
Use it neat and leave it to soak for a couple of days and all the rubber coating and paint just comes away from the plastic. You just have to give it a good wash after in clean water, under a tap.
From what...
These have been bugging me for years.
We all know how bad the rubber coating looks. So I removed it and the paint leaving them to soak in Dettol for a couple of days.
I found on a modeling website that's what they use to strip paint without damaging the plastic.
A quick rub down with some...
I've never seen anyone use one of these before.
It looks like it'll be a pain in the arse to repair.
I'd just get a second hand regulator and fit that.
They do this. I had a 172 before this 182 and they both did it. It only clicks under the glove box for the drivers side window, not the passenger side.
Don't ask me why lol.
It's easy, just a couple of bolts holding in the regulator.
I found it easier if the window is halfway down so you can get your hand on the white clip that pushes through the hole in the bottom of the window.
I had something very similar a couple of months ago. It sounded like a metallic scraping noise. One of the brackets that bolts the regulator to the door had snapped off. There are 2 of them, one at the top and one at the bottom. You'll have to take the door card off and see if the regulator is loose.
I've had these on my 182 for a couple of years now and they've been spot on.

I had my 182s full service done a couple of months ago.I supplied everything. Both genuine Renault belt kits, water pump and gasket, thermostat and gasket, type D coolant, NGK spark plugs, Fuchs titan oil and oil filter.
With labour and no VAT I think I paid in total just less than £1100.
That...
