133k fuk sake thats nearly as high as my old 02 plate on 140k lol
i beleive the 85bhp model has an intercooler and the 65 doesnt so thats a thing to think about if your considering remaping it in future.
im in the same boat as harry, i had my 1.2 16v for 2 years and when i got the 172 hated it, it looked better etc but when driving it hard i was unimpressed with the handling and the way it drives (mostly due to 16" wheels over the 15" wheels i was used to)
but over time ive forgot what my 1.2...
ive not and not noticed any problems, there still just as shite to drive with compaired to my old 1.2 with its mega "off road use only" rally bulbs haha
yeah mate ill measure it later (keeping in mind ive not got a splitter on yet)
i like the quiet exhaust but at the same time miss my old loud 1.2 poping! just had a brand new exhaust fitted under warranty too last week :D:D
aye alan we'll get a wee meet arranged soon, aye yozzasport race system next a think (well once a get the damaged fixed where it got hit wi a brick!)
ride feels exactly as it was standard, if not better! but when you throw it into a bend its planted, VERY good springs!
Fitted my Eibach Sportlines the other day, all i can say is WOW what a difference for £150!! the ride high has a nice drop, sits the way it should have sat from factory!!
handling is nearly on par with my old coilovered car!
Just need to get my K-Tec Splitter fitted now when i can be...
that not the pannel that goes behind the drivers side bit of the front grill? dont remember it having clips like that but might be different on the 172/aircon cars etc
open induction kit such as a cone filter will lose you performance due to it sucking in hot/warm air, even on the smaller engines,no matter how many cold air feeds you give it!!
panel filter is the best option, you can use a closed induction kit but wouldnt bother for the price you pay/low...
does the noise only come when you press the accelerator when it sucks in air? dont know what it is but they all do it.
no need for the engine cover, my alternator ate mine, when i blew my engine my new one came with a cover so kept it on, a month later the radiator fan ate it lol
Dynamiques are brilliant, i can honestly say on my daily drive i never have the same fun in the 172 i used to have in my coilover'd dynamique.
the 172 handles really well and is much faster but theres nothing better than throwing a 1.2 thats about an inch from the ground into a roundabout at...
K&N Pannel Filter
Stainless Steel Cat back exhaust
Decat
The above will give a slight power gain but nothing more than 5-8bhp.
theres no point doing anymore engine mods than that, the next thing you want to do is sort out the handling and stopping power.
if you can stretch to coilovers then...
FK Silverline X Coilovers (set to about -80mm)
16" Speedline Turinis
Powerflow twin 3" cat back exhaust
Home made decat
K&N pannel Filter
powerflex polly bushes
black diamond drilled and groved fast road disks
EBC Green Stuff Pads
2.0 16v 172 gearbox dogbone mount with k-tec/powerflex uprated bushes
as edde said 25bhp is a safe ammount but you could probably get away with 50bhp
im sure i remember 16v_jon saying he payed £800 for the full kit fitted?
black doesnt suit the dark blue i dont think, i dont think the mk2 suits 15" wheels unless its really low (which i hate about it, as i HATE any wheels bigger than 15" on clios lol it ruins them)
