cheers for the comments, done it different about 3 times then ended up not liking it, so decided to do a decent job and keep it simple!
now im out of debt my car will be changing, next is some turbines, hopefully they wont have been sold by the end of the month!
only problem with that is its not exactly to all of the edges, best thing to do is attack it in bits, then work out how many pieces it will have to be to get it in and out easy, depending on location of sub, and then make it up out of whatever material you need.
or pay me to do it!!!lol
Damo, don't use it much, going to make a cover for the amp, just a simple box to put over incase i do want to use the boot, just to make sure i dont damage it.
it is fairly easy to do, ive just cut 3 different parts of timber for it, they all fit nicely and no difference in floor level, then...
its not too bad, from the outside the spoiler vibrates a bit, but apart from that it isn't too bad.
its only a small sub, all i want really and i have the bass fairly low for background to improve the music sound.
i have had a 15" audiobahn in it that my mate wanted to see if it worked, i went...
nah mate, basically some good work with a saw, and some careful measurement!
looks better though because the material is longer in all dimensions, and then pushed underneath the timber, so makes it look spot on!
the floor is in several pieces aswell, so when i get a flatty i can easily get...
made myself a false floor, then rewired my amp and sub with some quality cables, made sure all the conectors were ok, then recarpetted the floor and screwed the sub and amp down, so now if a chav tries to steal them, ill laugh as he struggles for a second before my 3 iron is wrapped around his...
just been looking in my service book, and my car needs serviceing every 18000miles, or 2 years.
i bought it from renault sunwin in derby, and I have been given a 'lifetime' waranty provided i service and MOT the car within the sunwin group every year, it is on an 04 plate, and will need its...
right, im just about to buy some stickers finally, i was thinking of 2 big ones for my 3/4 windows, and then a small one for the rear window in one of the corners, any ideas to how it would look?
maybe over the top??
or is there like a standard place to put them so all the cars have them in...
ok, ill look into it, thanks for the help!
didnt know about the timing, good job you let me know! but whats the reason behind it?even a stopwatch in the car for rough timings??
yeh i suppose you've got a point, i might do one before and after suspension mods, and see how much it affects the time!
i dont know anything about trackdays etc, never had anything to do with one, do you just turn up on an 'open' day or do you have to book with a group etc?
i want to put the best in it really, whatever will be best for normal use, don't do trackdays, would love to but its only a 1.2 so i dont think id even get into one!!!
ive got a k&n panel filter, just upgrading to a new pipercross kit though, could be for sale?
been on the car for about a month?made a tiny difference to noise, only when listening hard, and made the revs pull up a bit faster, but not sure if there were any power gains.
the front just pulls off, with a bit of force, just pull it evenly and nothing will break, the rear u have to take the boot panel off on the inside, and then undo the three nuts on the inside of the lock, then on the outside where the silver diamond is, pull it off. it will be stuck as will not...
been thinking about changing the oil and filters on my car lately, what should i put back in it? anyone recommend anything?
also, never done it before, and not done much work on engines, so where are the oil filters??
if anyone had any pics would be appreciated!
id go for yellow to be honest, painted mine red but there all over the place, thinking of redoing mine!
use a good primer, and also laquer them after they are fully dry, this will make the brake dust easier to wash off so they don't look crap when the rest of your car is gleaming!
the first kit you showed are about £130ish from ktec, so if you do buy it would be a good saving as long as the filter is in good condition.
i would have wanted one of them, but ive bought a second hand pipercross, and can always buy the relocation pipe seperate.
thats the problem with...
if u lie down in the front passenger footwell, and put your hand up and follow the bon net popper cable to the bulkhead u will find a rubber gromit, pull this through to the inside of the car a bit and then your cable can go straight from the engine bay.
also, in my clio the amp wouldn't earth...
are these wheels 195 wide? hope so, then i can get some decent tyres!
still deciding on colours, gonna refurb them myself and spray them so got plenty of time to decide on a colour!
too much choice, and ill never know what they'll look like until ive done them!
