as far as poke, from a standing start up to around 80 it aint bad, but doin 50-70 overtaking, prepare to be in 2nd/3rd gear to get her moving!
you'll have fun with it, the ladies love them, and i dont think they are seen as chavvy cars, whereas thats the image a fair few people seem to have of...
im not sure, after being in both cars, and considering ive got a clio id say a clio!
the twinport sxi has got 79/80bhp whereas a clio 16v has 75, but i think the clio is a sportier car, vauxhalls seem boring in a way, they dont react very well, whereas my clio feels nice and twitchy and goes...
haha, i think of what im going to put, and if i dont get it down fast its gone!
im pretty sure the heat shields are plastic, but i think theres a fair price jump (not 100% sure as they dont do them for my car so havent payed much attention to them) it could be cheaper overall, if a little more...
k&n brag that with every induction kit they sell there is a power increase, im not sur ehow mcuh it will be as they dont quote figures, but they say each one will increase power, check their website if you want.
they give a good roar aswell, so you could go for a 57i, get a relocation pipe...
well my car has had its first service about 3 months ago at renault, but im sure they would have told me if they needed replacing then, and ive only done 1600miles since???
however because it was from a garage i am not sure if the pads were changed by the previous owner at some point before i...
they felt fine after i took it steady and let them cool down, or what i thought was letting them cool down because i thought of brake fade.
would it be best to use them carefully and see if they are any different before rushing in and spending maybe unneccesary money, or should i get it...
to be honest i havent checked the discs/pads as it was dark when i got in, how do i know if the discs are worn, the car has only done 16500miles from new, would they need changing this early?
im not too sure if the pedal went further than it normally does or not, i pressed it to what i knew...
'Just got the stiffer pedal effect followed by the lovely smell of brakes.'
i gave mine a fair hammering today, but as quoted, it says stiffer pedal and a smell of brakes, the pedal went down, but nothing seemed to happen, and i never noticed any smell, so could mine actually be brake fade or...
so, in a proffesionals opinion, or someone who knows more than me, what should i do?
get the brakes bled first, however i might only know this has not worked when/if they fade again?
get them bled and change the pads/discs/both?
thanks!
been suggested on another site that because i dont really do a lot of heavy braking, that i could just upgrade my pads to green stuff ones, which will make my brakes a bit better, but will this stop them fading?
if im honest it scared the sh**e out of me, and dont want to ruin my...
the dynamique is the top of the range for a 1.2 really, the billabong is a special edition but the only thing extra really is different coloured 2 tone interior, i had 1 as my 1st car and they wanter mark badly which looks horrible, go for the dynamique, which ive got now, the darker interior is...
ive got a 1.2 16v clio, 04 plate, ive got a k&n panel filter, which is good, its given me a bit more grunt in the way of sound, but only slightly, also, the relocation intake pipe on my car, takes the air intake to behind the passenger side light, so there is no direct way for the air to get...
just had what i think was brake fade, first time ive had it so not 100% sure, working fine 1 minute, then next nothing!
thank god for 2nd gear engine braking!
was thinking, if i got sum vented/drilled/grooved discs, or a combination of all 3 would this stop it, first time its happened but...
no worries mate!
if you dont plan to take the speakers out when you sell it there isnt a problem, but i never did that with my first clio and when i took them out it was a fookin pain!
good luck!
paint your calipers mate and your rear drums, do them a colour to offset your wheels but go with the car colour, my mates got those rims on a fiesta, look better on yours!
id have to agree with the others about the stickers, but apart from that it looks smart!
hi mate, this looks like im stalking your posts! im not!
the 2 wires that go into the speaker should be in a ?white? clip, that then goes into the speaker, pull out the whte clip, then inside the recess where the white clip goes you should see a positive sign next to one of the terminals, then...
hi, just been browsing k-tec website, and have just seen that there is a turbo conversion available for clio sports...
has anyone had this done, just interested to see if the power gains described are possible and how the car runs etc?!
ebay's good, got some renault 1's off there with velcro sides for airbags and reanult printed on them, tiny bit small width ways for my seats, dynamique, but with the vecro moved to make them sit better they are sound!
think i payed about £18 for front 2 incl. postage!
ive got an 04 clio, its done 16500ish miles!
which aint bad for it because its a 1.2 and most have a fairly average mileage on them!
but i wouldnt not drive it for value purposes, if i want to drive it, i do! i paid my money for it so its mine!
but i am glad the previous owner was steady...
if you pull the head unit out and get a torch and shine it from underneath the passenger footwell upwards towards the gap in the dash, then look through towards the torch you should see a path in which to thread the cable.this can then be guided down through the gap, no easy way to do that, just...
