    Trophy Sachs Rebuild

I nearly fell victim to this, as Renault didn't hold my hand and tell me when my tyres would need replacing, and the 1st fuel of tank was a scary experience I can assure you!

    RB 182 FF > 182 Trophy

Fair enough, but a RB182 with sachs will depreciate more than a Trophy. Trophy value's have been pretty consistent for about 2 yrs now. You'd need the rear dampers as well as the fronts. The rears aren't exactly the same as cup dampers IIRC (although they are Renault parts).

    RB 182 FF > 182 Trophy

Lol at so many people. If the suspension feels the same, you have f**k all sensitivity. Novelty? How is a better riding, better handling car a novelty? And double lol at it being designed as a track car. It was designed to be the ultimate road Clio, hence it still having compliance built...

    RB 182 FF > 182 Trophy

Rofl. Ast don't compare to the sachs. I should know!

    RB 182 FF > 182 Trophy

Just not true! I can't explain it, but the trophy felt special every time I drove it. The ktr coilovers might be good for the price. But they won't touch the sachs all round. Do it. Mikes is one of the best in the country given the recent work that's been done. Added bonus is that you'll lose...

    RB 182 FF > 182 Trophy

I actually think the 182's more fun on track, but the trophy's better on the road.

    RB 182 FF > 182 Trophy

The ability to carry epic speed over difficult roads. Rides well, stunning control at speed.

    No offence intended, but nonsense!

What coilovers do you have waitingto go on?

    Nürburgring lap record smashed!

Lol at "it's not a road car". It's as much a road car as most hypercars. Brilliant that once again it's a British company hdong the record. I suspect the caparo will take the record. Can't be too long before one of these runs ends in tragedy though.

    used Quaife ATB Diff price?

Given the cost new, and that it's fairly low miles, I'd say £400ish. http://www.quaife.co.uk/shop_category.cfm/category_id/1274/category_id/1274 Given that they are £900 new from Quaife, any more than £400ish and I'd rather buy new with warranty etc.

    V6 as an every-other-day driver.

Riz used his daily for a while, 100 mile round trip daily. With a quiksilver OMG exhaust. That was unbearable TBH!

    Compbrake 4 pot kits

I've got these. Better driving position, comfort, and support than the CS fav Trendlines. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Momo-bucket-seats_W0QQitemZ320426445904QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item4a9ae78c50&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 Get a couple of subframes, onto a winner.

    Compbrake 4 pot kits

There's nothing else you could do that will improve the car as much as a good pair of seats.

    Compbrake 4 pot kits

    Madness, utter madness. Seats?
  17. ForceIndia

    Compbrake 4 pot kits

Nuts IMO. I've been on track driving my car, then passengering in a car on 4pots. No difference in stopping power. How often do you track your car?

BTB exhaust is it really worth 600 quid!

I'd disagree. The yozzasport has been shown to give 4-8bhp. A poorly designed system could lose you power. Mine certainly felt a bit strangled with the pooflame exhaust on.

BTB exhaust is it really worth 600 quid!

I can understand that, the BTB etc will of been performance tested on the Clio. A custom system won't and will be purely for noise/looks.

    iOS "must have" apps

Re: iPhone "must have" apps? Not sure, I've yet to try a number it didn't find! It shows you the number it's dialling, so you could tell if it hasn't found an alternative.

New and looking for a car!

And it won't of been serviced abroad, they were on delivery miles when imported! Every service should of been carried out in the uk.

New and looking for a car!

Bulls**t. Mine was an import and had service history. If there aren't receipts for each service walk away on that one.

BTB exhaust is it really worth 600 quid!

It's all about priorities. I'm sure there are people out there that think spending 1k on coilovers is madness, but each to their own. It is meant to be a very good system, but looking at it purely from a 'gains' point of view, it is a lot of cash to pay.

    Just fitted Whiteline ARB

I'm getting one. Jamsport are down as suppliers, going to see if they or balance are up for a group buy.
  27. ForceIndia

BTB exhaust is it really worth 600 quid!

But a definite performance gain. Clio exhausts provide noise, nothing more! Saying that, can't wait to get rid of my ktec 'stealth'. Woeful.

Want a pair of Recaro, comment?

Don't bother. I've had trendlines in 2 of my Clio's, waste of cash IMO.Good seat, but beacuse of the way they are installed they sit too high. There are better seats available cheaper.

BTB exhaust is it really worth 600 quid!

10% of a cars value on the exhaust? Not for me.
