money isnt really an issue, it just means i need to save more for something better, since you dont get any exhausts that have been developed to get maximim performance for the 1.2 16v i just thought custom is the best way to go :)

yeah im ready for the £500 price tag, but doesnt put me off lol noise doesnt bother me, exhaust noise would be blocked out by my engine noise mostly, especially on a stealth system! so ignoring noise and price what would give best gains... standard exhaust with sports cat cat back exhaust...

you could make it handle ok on 17s but with 15s or 16s it will accelerate faster and handle better, if its a 172/182 then 16s are probably best for you, i feel my steerings to light for wide tyres! pulls it all over the road

stick to 15s or 16s, 17s will kill the handling. i like the added grip i get from wider 16" wheels but feel it handles much better on 15s

going to have about £250 to spend on the car next month, well end of this month so wondering whats best for performance.. Sports Cat or Cat Back Stealth Exhausti can only afford one and both are going to cost about the same, what i want to know is what will give the biggest performance gain...

induction kit wont be as loud, or atleast thats what i found on the 1.2 16v engines, not sure about the 8v engines. i couldnt get an induction kit that sounded loud/good enough for mine so gave up. done my airbox for performance and the noise was a bonus, couldnt beleive it when i first put my...

ive got the tools, money and most of the knowledge (mates for the little bits i get stuck at) to do a straight swap to another 1.2 16v engine if mine blew up but thats the last thing i want for the hastle as edde said, it will never ever go 5 mins round the corner from your house, it'll go at...

been putting off the idea of an aftermarket steeringwheel as most look out of place and people could think you were a chav for having one, but the bus wheel is anoying me more and more!! lets see some pics of your aftermarket steeringwheels cheers

yep lol horrible piece of shite, colourcode it again and standard lights and sort the front grill and it would look ok

get standard rear lights, get the bonnet painted lower it a bit more and it would look ok.

worth saying that these are very tunable engines apparently a guy from falkirk cruise has one @ 240bhp + a 50 shot of laughing gas lol

i done it for 10 minz loved the sound, took an angle grinder to the inside of the airbox and "modified it" best of both worlds now, the noise + filter + the noise echos and sounds mental lol

cheers mate, ill check the caliper and get some copper grease on it. so what im feeling is tramlining? its ok if im going 100% straight but if i move it slightly to the left or right the wheel starts to move a bit, its not dangerous or anything just doesnt feel as solid and planted as it did...
