    Tim's Forged LY R26

Wheels and tyres look great! Don't forgot to clean out the paint/powercoat from the wheel bolt tapers, stops them coming loose on track.

    Can't find right pads?

A new backing plate either 5" or 6" then you can use whatever pads you want. The Chemical Guys Hexlogic pads are good for dual action machines.

    Melted spark plug!! Causes?

Odd one this, as i'm sure a lot of people use the circuits 'super unleaded' and not had problems. I use Oulton's fuel quite a lot and it seems ok. There must be some tolerance built in to the map to allow for slight fuel differences, even V-Power from station to station could vary. Possibly...

Wheel Studs - On a Road Car

Just get bolt to hub, hub centric spacers. Studs are ideally meant to be replaced every race season in motorsport, so you'd have to factor that in with daily wear and tear (potholes/s**t roads).

What to replace my 888's with

Can run R888 down to slicks on dry days.

What to replace my 888's with

I've not seen the tread wear number yet, but I believe they're sticky. So likely to be soft. I guess you can't have long lasting tyre wear and good grip, it's either one or the other.

Any info on this 461bhp 182?

Swirl pot for fuel with fuel pumps.

What to replace my 888's with

If they turn out to be good and i'm sure they will be, they'll soon shoot up in price when everyone starts buying them. Like the R888 used to be, they were pretty reasonable 5+ years ago untill they became so popular.

What to replace my 888's with

I believe they're E marked, so they can be used on the road. Not that you'd want to in anything other than bone dry weather lol. I agree, they look awesome! Don't forget that track tyre widths are 'usually' wider than their stated size, so a 195 tyre can sometimes actually be 205 in width.

What to replace my 888's with

Get some of the new Nankang AR-1 so you can tell us all what they're like  Seen them for £70 a tyre and i've 'heard' they're a little bit quicker than DZ03G in testing in Italy. http://www.motmotorsport.co.uk/nankang-ar-1-100-c.asp

    Cage bolt in/weld in? Daily?

For a weld in you would need to strip out the interior ideally, so you don't set fire to anything when welding. Bolt in would be more practical and you can have it powdercoated before installation, a weld in cage would be painted in situ.

    R888 - Mileage?

Very good price. They're £72 on Camskill.
  28. Mr Trailer Man

    R888 - Mileage?

I wouldn't bother with R888's as a daily tyre. Get some AD08R's, they're the best of both worlds for road and track in my opinion.
