    Engines will do 100k+ no problem, it's the rest of the car, just check for cambelt and aux belt.

    All cars do it, it's when the brakes, exhaust etc got VERY hot.

    When car is cold, start up and feel around, you'll feel the air coming out if it's leaking.

    how does a remap improve mpg?

    Because cars are released to use a wide range of fuels, in other contries the fuel is rubbish, but in the uk it's very good, so remapt makes better use of the fuels potential, or something like that.
