f**k the lead shot off and just fill a boot with red rubber grease and cable tie it off. The lead shot causes more issues as it adds 'throw'

Put the key in the ignition. Lock it and unlock it on the fob. Lock it and unlock it on the button in the car. Turn the key all the way round to just before cranking and leave it there for 5 minutes. Then go back, and do the same again but holding the central locking button. Then try crank it.
