Get some tyre softener on them and they'll be fine. See more cracks on new tyres ffs.

Should a rebuilt F4R engine (RS200) eating oil after run-in?

That's shocking and potentially incredibly dangerous. You need to go back to the specialist and allow them to resolve these issues satisfactorily. Don't get mugged off.

Lots of work going into this! Just read it from the beginning. Don't stop posting on here regardless of the lack of replies. People do read, they just like if they have no input. Regarding your questions, 1. Yes, they'll feel better once torqued up. It's a pretty monumental torque figure too...

Talk about the brake lines they also fitted that turned out were rubbing on the tyres...

Should a rebuilt F4R engine (RS200) eating oil after run-in?

Take it to Mick for diagnosis, then go back to them with the information and push for them to pay for diagnosis and rectification. Then name and shame them

Don't post their name, just crop out the engine bill

Should a rebuilt F4R engine (RS200) eating oil after run-in?

Post the full itemised bill. Leave the dealer out if you want. I think you should name and shame them though!

Should a rebuilt F4R engine (RS200) eating oil after run-in?

Any reputable garage wouldn't just shrug this off and tell you it's normal. Kind of expected from where you've been. Won't be a suprise to many either!

It's 100% burning it. They give you an itemised bill?

Should a rebuilt F4R engine (RS200) eating oil after run-in?

I asked these questions. Apparently it had no oil leaking down onto the undertray but also no visible blue smoke. No smell. You'd expect 1.5litres to be pretty noticeable on a 'freshly built' engine. For reference, my F4R on 168,000miles burnt around 1litre every 10k.

Should a rebuilt F4R engine (RS200) eating oil after run-in?

Was good talking to you the other day mate. You need to find out what work was completed to the engine for it to warrant 'running in'. I feel they've just dropped an unknown engine without checking it over. I won't share the renault 'specialist' who has done this work.

You can just use any LED strip. Most of the time just cleaning the board solves it. Or hitting it with a hot air gun to reflow.
