As Ali said, it is possible. I have one from the fog light recess to my Viper on my Mk1 172. Take you battery out and it makes finding the route a lot easier, but you will need to cut away some plastic guarding further down. No problems though. 30 mins work, if that.

the standard GTI-6 alloys are soooo nice though mate! seen one with 307 XSI/206 GTI 180 alloys on it. Looks really nice too. :)
