Can't its to big
Process and pics when completed will be on the build thread for my mk4 GTi

Basically doing a mod on my GTi tailgate with the latching system from the newer MK5+ golfs.
In the process of getting it aligned for welding I did cut too far on the left hand side. The welding is complete (welded on backside) although I have a large gap now on the left hand side. How should I...
Paint protection film PPF is golden. Detail your car to perfection! Apply it and then it doesn't matter how you wash it it will come out like new every time. It also protects against stone chips and key marks although it is fairly expensive but affordable if you do it yourself.
I will be attempting my own refurb and I can say its all in the prep. Alloy filler is good to use for scuffs and gutter rash. My concern with spraying the wheels was baking them. I mean you could easily leave them for a week to dry but baking them makes the paint more durable (less susceptible...
My mate had candy RED on his civic it stood out but it sorta worked. I'd say midnight purple or something with a lot of gloss to it. To light of a purple won't look right. Maybe Cadbury colour?
Do the brakes off white would be an interesting colour combo.
Yeah that's what I got TA Technix. Handle pretty well hard as a rock.
The ride quality will depend one what type of road your driving on. If its smooth It will feel fine if not then say good bye to your back.
It improved cornering so much no body roll at all. Shooting through roundabouts is a...
Nice car mate check my profile (cover photo) out as we have similar colour cars (mines cherry not flame red)
Might give you some ideas as I didn't go down the 17 yr old chav route.
Personally I don't think this would sell for anything worth my while hence the giving it to her and her giving it back to me.
I got a mk4 golf GTi sitting in the garage waiting to be used. Its time for a change mainly because of power.
I'll be going from 75hp to 230bhp or something so should be...
So my mates dad owns a renault shop and is clearing stock.
He's had it for 40+ years now
Found these today although they are singles not in a full set.
Anyone know the names? I forgot to check the boxes but I love the turbine style one and the polished one.
They maybe for sale if anyones...
I planned on keeping this car forever.. oh how plans change.
Putting it back to stock in July to give to a friend of mine for her to use as her first car. It will eventully return back to me give it a couple years and I will see it some days. Don't want it going to some 17 old boy racer whos...
Having gone with carbon fibre interior accents I also pondered with the idea of spraying the wrap in gloss to give it that gloss carbon mclaren look. Needless to say I failed but it does/doesn't look that bad. Most of the CS lot would not approve of the carbon and would say gloss black well with...
Also decided that the trim might aswell be refurbished:

Where it stands:
Because I'am maddeningly in consistent here's a pic of the new dials I picked up for the Golf. Being from 1999 it does feel dated but these bring it up a little bit.
So it seems that I have the only golf in the world with trim on the drivers side interior window switch thing. Being unsuccessful at finding a suitable replacement for cheap I decided to repair the trim I had.
To begin heres the broken piece and the door trim.
I used some epoxy to stick the...
My friend had the same issue with his Suzuki but it was a little worse. Any gear above 3k rpm it would just go to red line while very slowly increasing in speed. The problem on his was down to Gearbox oil leaking onto the clutch. It could be that but while the gearbox is down might as well do...
I paid £80 for my bulbs. OSRAM or Philips are the best ones to go for (cant remember exact part number).
Basically:
Remove bumber:
- Jack car up (it helps if your lowered ahah)
- Full lock wheels either way and pull down arch (there is a 13mm I think bolt up there, be careful though because...
Only thing I don't like about the Samsung notes and other android phones is that monstrous display.
Loving the design on the 6s got a gold/carbon theme going with it. Not a fan of the backside though the white lines ruin it.
360 VR is basically my only interest, off topic from the thread but if...
Apple design intentions keep putting me off getting the phone. I mean really happy with my 6s love the operating system, so simple and easy to use. But I am being pulled towards the galaxy s7 now. Doubt I'd get it but the 360 VR camera has deffo got my attention.
they don't look that bad when the cars uncovered (see very first pic at top) tempted to either spray the chrome black or to tint them darker slightly to make them look less bright.
Right so update time....
Basically the image at the top shows the car looking fly as f**k. But nope it is far from that.
Que all things wrong with this car:
Crappy dent in the boot lid:
Crappy paint chips on the side of the car:
I reckon it was sprayed over at some point but not cured as...
Tints were removed by my cousin before I got it :) although I liked them IMO the black on black look is awesome. The pic was taken in late August last year. Planning on getting more pics up later tonight but its in a garage so quite hard to get good overall pics of the car.
Yeah I am leaving the power as is, as the MPG is already in low teens. Its got coilovers and the brakes from a TT RS, also got fair few suspension bits from the TT RS, bushes and sub frame have been changed as well.
Basically its got it all nothings really missing from it. Just needs TLC as its...
Ko3s currently, off the top of my head can't say for sure but its got a custom manifold to custom exhaust, forged internals and block. According to R-tech its got more life left in it for more power. I have seen K03s go up to 250bhp and 280lb-ft.
Not sure about rods but I did read a Ko4 can do...
End of November I was drunk at my cousins party celebrating a religious thingy ma bob and one thing lead to another and I had bought a car off my cousin.
So couple days later I picked this up:
This car is stupid fast and has had various improvements made to its running gear to insure that it...
After starting it this morning I noticed that it started fine because I allowed 10 seconds for the fuel pump to prime the lines. Which has lead me to believe the fuel filter is the culprit. Gonna replace it soon and hopefully should fix this.
