Don't need a "specialaist" to put a new hard drive in, it's easy. As long as you know how to reinstall windows etc. Then if the new hard drive works, just hook the old one up to your laptop via one of those usb things.

It's cos the direct connection to the battery and battery connection from the ignition are connected wrong way around.
