i just think the angel eye bit sticks out to much on the black one and you donlt notice it as much on the chrome ones. Also most std headlights are chrome in colour so think they loo more std and subtle than the black ones. But i still lover the black ones, just wish the angel eye bit was black!!!

Yea, will get silvervisions, if the angel eye bit had been black i would deffo go for the black ones but as it is not im not sure.

Thanks for the vote, not finished yet, hopefully a month or so. I have coilovers on it now, it was std height in that pic, has 330mm HighSpec 4 pots, and currently having a 220bhp ish engine being built that will also have 100bhp direct port nitrous kit along with a whole load of other goodies.

Can you advise your thoughts on 0w40 and 5w40 causing your top end to be noisy?

I was going to ask the say question as Mark. Also a lot of people blame a 0w grade for a noisy topend, would you agree with that. I have experienced this, but it may jus be a coincidence.

DAC = Digital Audio Convertor it is what makes the unit sound good or not. burr brown are a well respected manufactuer of DACs of a high quality, not as good as Crystal tho. That unit has one regulated 1 bit burr brown DAC which is good by todays standards, mine has 4 x 24 bit Crystal DACs...

it does have a burr brown DAC, only a regulated 1 bit one tho, not 24bit. Still a top sounding unit. You should have got a loom with it.

think they have missed it of that list, and it may be different as it is a US model but the CDA prefix means it has Ai-Net connection whihc is what is needed to make it work. The list did not have the 2003 models on it when i bought my KCA-420i for my 9815 but it worked fine then a wee while...

the 77 is a good unit, but excluding that alpine is better. (unless you go to some of the older Pioneer units) and ive listened to a hell of a lot.

Got my Alpine to iPod KCA-420i today. and all i cen say is awesome. Apart from the limit of 255 on viewable files and 511 viewable playlists, artists and albums it is absolutly fantastic!!!

i will have spent about 20k on my Maxi car and mods and if you include my DCI will have spent > £30,000 when i finish paying it.
