I had sportlines on my FF172 and to be honest i could hardly tell it was lowered, the splitter gave more of a lowered look.
The handling was better tho.
Got some apex on order tho for my ph-quick as i thought i could give them a try and compare. If i dont like em can always sell and get...
So by that reckoning and by your time already of 4secs dead to 50 you are either going to have to take 2 seconds minimum to cover another 10 mph which with momentum of acceleration you have already after hitting 50 in 4 secs would be like braking or you have a vRS that does 0-60 in sub 6...
Hmmm
The original bolts iirc are 25mm long.
My 5mm eibach spacers came with 32mm bolts and are fine, the stick out the back of the hub about 5mm but dont contact anything.
If your using 10mm spacers (20mm total track increase) i would say 35-37mm bolts would be needed.
However...
I really doubt there is any difference between them as a general rule. The engines power when it came out the factory was all over the place.
I had a mk2 172 FF and as standard was only putting out 159bhp
My mk2 ph1 172 i have now is faster
Generally the 172 cups do seem to have the...
Tell me about it. Wont be as high next year as i have changed my priorities at work as baby is due in the next week sometime so wont be travelling outside of the North West now.
I spent 12 months splitting myself between contracts in torquay and the south coast and a few up in glasgow and...
Re: Does anyoneever think...
Washed, clayed and waxed mine the other day.
Since then its not been out of the garage as its raining lol
Pi$$es me right off to see all the work go to waste. Thats why it very rarely gets a good wax. Usually just wash and dry
Def not xenon, possibly a projector lense tho not sure.
As said dont swap mate. xenons rock! The lights and the steering wheel are the only thing i miss from my 172 ph2
I would say the gap between a 1.2 clio/corsa and a 172 would be a bigger gap in performance 0-60 than say a 172 and a 5sec to 60 supercar
7ish seconds compared to 3 seconds really or something there abouts.
This thread wasnt intended to question how quick a 172 was.
I just didnt see...
^^^^^ Who is taking the p*ss?
Also i think you will find a 172/182 is quite quick generally speaking.
Well done for making your 1st post a pointless one tho ;) :star:
I have a 1.2 corsa (53 reg) and its quite nippy for what it is. Would have off a 1.2 8v i reckon.
I managed to keep up with my sister in her 1.4 clio dynamique although she was clearly faster wasnt a lot in it
I reckon your mate is right and would be faster however probably wouldnt notice...
I dont think they have any legal obligation to provide you with wiring details, be it making them available FOC or by charging for them so i dont think complaining will do much good really.
I could be wrong tho. Woould need to look into it. There could be something in the cumsumer act or...
Cheap...........................
...........................Jesus! If when i was 17 insurance was how it is now i wouldnt have had a car!
If i were you mate i would get a 1.1 or something, keep insurance under £1k and save up your money and NCB for something better the year after...
Only joking mate.
I couldnt recommend a decent kit really as i dont like any of the ones i have seen except the dimma kit and that is looking very dated now, didnt age well
Below 3k for first 5 mins
Below 4k for the next 5 mins
I never go on cam or above 5k for about 15 mins if its from cold.
If i have used it to go shopping or something and then get back in and its warmish i will tend not to bother with the above.
Saying that i had a family emergency...
Mine isnt really cut into the bumper. The bumper is slightly cut so that it doesnt melt. The tailpipe doesnt really sit in the bumper like the prospeed does. Its a little lower and slash cut.
Saying that it needs slightly adjusting now its been heated up/cooled down a few times.
