Greenlight refused to quote me because my postal area has had too many claims in the last year!!!
Not one other insurance company has said the same.
I would ring them up mate and see whats going on. End of the day tho if they dont wanna insure you then they wont or if you get them to do it...
Dont expect to much in the way of power increases unless you have 3-4k spare tho mate as thats what it costs realistically.
As said for a decat see fred (www.yozzasport.com) i can recommend :D
Remap if you can afford it or if money is tight consider a group N ecu. BBPT are doing them for...
I would ask him to get the V5 for it and also get it into renault for a diagnostic check to find out what the serv light is on for. Could be something simple but at the same time something costly. Was the airbag light on too as this is a common fault and would cause the SERV light to come on...
Did he think you were one of his kind? ;)
Looked like a good turn out. Sorry again i couldn't make it. Be there next time tho, Well the time after the night out that is as cant make that either lol
Have you got the latest version of firefox mate?
Also i know i downloaded a few codecs for quicktime and they work for me 90% of the time. Sometimes a few wont work but nowhere near as many as it used to be.
Oh and the exsaust is spot on fella even if it took an age ;)
I am with Dink, i would be checking things before upping the fuse size. The only reason it would have blowen as said would be something pulling 90-100A
The only way this wouldnt be the case is if the 80amp fuse was old, i mean 5-6 years old. Fuses degrade over time and as such after a number...
Saturday Night, Bout 7 ish i think, maybe half past
Had a little play on the motorway heading up towards knutsford services, caught you up just after junction 16 M6.
Didnt see any CS stickers but car looked nice
W Reg, didnt get your reg as whilst having a blast with you i was also trying to...
Glad your ok mate, looked nasty.
Still if your going to do something might as well do it in style ;)
F**k the car mate, so long as your ok tho
P.S. if your breaking the car and keeping the engine PM me as i need a few bits from a qu-quick :D
If you have a piperX cone filter then removing the acoustic valve with do nothing mate. The acoustic valve iirc will only work when part of the OE sealed system. I may be wrong
As for sound the hillpower bend wont add to the sound at all. All it does is give a smoother airflow and therefore...
Anyone got access to renault part numbers?
I need a part number for a Mk2 Ph1 172 (2001) Airbox and also a passenger wheel arch liner, The section that attaches to the underside of the front bumper (with the little flap vent thing in)
Any help would be great thanks
Rick
Best doing a search mate, this has been covered and recovered more than times than the chicken and the egg story :D
But if you want my 2 cents stick to your OE airbox and buy a panel filter £40 and just as good as a viper IMO
Unless you want sound then go open cone
Only problem with greenlight is that they wont quote my postcode as there have been a few claims from the area in the last 2 years?!
I have been to 10-15 other insurers in the last week and got quotes ranging from £500 to £1500 but not one has said because of the postcode lol
According to...
To put this as blunty as i can mate...you did have a witness, your mate was in the car with you, did you hit your head and forget? Oh and dont forget yours mates, mates sister who was walking past as it happened...
...On a more moral note mate, i woud try and find the driver of the blue...
I would be interested. Would like some saying Ph-Quick but failing that would like some like Dave3141 wants. Failing that i will have whatever lol

Sounds a tricky one mate. However what middo said will work.
I remember i needed a ford key coding and a specialist did it and didnt even ask for V5 or anything else. Just the money
Strangely enough i lost a lot of oil the other day, from 3/4 on the stick to just above min. Topped up again when i got home and since then i have given it some stick to try and find out where it went but its all fine again now :S
I know this doesn't help much mate
How much have you lost...
Unless you really want the sound then i would say no. Its £90, then once you tell your insurance company they will want about £90 again depending on your policy/age and as a result of all this you wont really notice any power increase at all.
IMO better spending the money towards suspension...
Thats not all true mate. Manufacturers work to tolerences and not towards all out performance. If that was the case then why would the renault cup racers have a different designed air feed location and slightly different housing?
Renault need to fall between certain tolerences and emissions...
I am sure they used to do this to the old porsche race cars so in some applications it would work. As already said the location of the air feed has a lot to do with it. If its in the middle of a hot engine bay then its probably not going to help, however if its in a cold area with a nice supply...
Why drill it?
Drilling it will not improve anything, infact the opposite.
The OE design is basically as good as any aftermarket filter. Just bung in a replacement element mate for the difference in price cant go wrong
