Find this is odd, as my local garage (french cars) did a cambelt change, new water pump, aux belt and replaced all the coolant for £410 thats on a 172 aswell

I don't think it should put you off? Anything that does break is usually cheap and as far as i'm aware there not using, cars dead, won't start or anything break downs, and if there is a such a list for the rover it would probably be the same. My cars just about to hit 53k, i've done nearly 10K...
