Ive got it going on, what can i say!!!
Yea that sub is pretty good.
If you put too much power through the rears youll pull the sound stage back and your SQ will suffer and also youll not have 4 channels to run the fronts active.
Thats the active crossover and cant remember the exact price...
Rich,
Ive done a wee drawing for you for your ideal setup IMO. I didnt know what sub you have so just put in a JL 12W6v2.

Colin
PS Just out of curiosity what sub you running??
Yea thats what that Sony does plus loads more.
If you ran your fronts active you (driver and passenger) would have no need what-so-ever for rear fill unless you want to cater for your mates in the back.
Sorry about the amp not being in stock mate and it will not be a problem at all to add...
It is basically bi-wiring. You can use the hi and low inputs on your MB crossovers but you will still be losing lots of power due to still cutting out frequencies after the amplification. You are much much better to do the crossover before the amplifier. If i were you i wouldnt put any speakers...
Sorry, basically each speak has its own channel.
What it means is rather than using passive crossovers like you get with your speakers where you run your tweeters and woofers off of one channel each, you filter the signal before it gets to the amp using an active crossover and use a separate...
Richard Id say you should forget about rear speakers and go active in the front. You will notice a much bigger different and the 450/4 is perfect for going active!!!
Do you want me to answer this???
Both are very good speakers, however personally i prefer the JL ones as MB can quite often be a bit harsh. JL has a better sound quality. IMHO
Take it you decided not to go for the JLs then?
You dont need wadding if you have the right size of box. If you go for the actual Alpine you dont need to fibreglass the inside either. Try the box with and without the wadding if you wish, but if you want hard, fast punchy bass and you get a 0.65 cuft enclosure you wont need any wadding. If you...
Sorry got totally confused, i thought you gad said there were more features you can control on the amp from the HU and asked what they were, however you never even said that!!! lol
I think they are one of the better amps from the big HU brands!
I used to have the old Kenwood PS501 amp in my first install and it sounded good.
The only feature you can use on the amp via the head unit is the adjustable bass boost.
Personally i think if he has bought a 10 then i would put it in a .65cuft enclosure, if he wanted lower beats he should of bought a 12". I would never put a 10" type R in a 1cuft box unless a customer specifically asked for it. (and Id advise against it)
If you got a 10" free of something and...
It is like t-cut but not as abrasive. It takes a very small amount of paint off your car when you polish it. After about 5 years of polishing it every other week youll need a respray!!!
