Right ok my wee bro has a VW Polo and has bought 6.5" Components and a set of 6x9s running of the HU. We just put a couple of low pass filters on the 6x9s and it sounds surprisingly good. (Well for the money anyway) It sounds better than his mates car with a sub in it.
The US radios have a step of 100hz where UK and Europe are 50hz which means you wont be able to tune into something like xx.x5 like 99.15 but you will be get 99.1.
The units are pre xplod so a bit old know but i know of at least 5 people that compete with the stuff i listed above and am thinking about it myself and have an CDX-C910 and XDP-4000x

Fantastic, im lost for words!!!!!!!
Nak is good, however lots of people want it to look fancy too. The realiablity of Nak units is not the best and there can be a few other critisims however they really do sound good. The 35 only has a 1 bit DAC there is a big difference in SQ going up to the 45 as it has 20bit DACs
Personally...
I really dont like Sony either but you info on SOny not being used in SPL or SQ systems is wrong. The CDX-C90 and CDX-C910 HUs are used a lot and also the XDP-210EQ and XDP-4000x.
You will not however see any other Sony stuff in ANY sound offs
Ive sold a couple of Vibe boxes with other subs in them and they sound soo good with a better sub in it. YOu can get an MTX or Rocky sub for £100 which is far better than the Vibe ones. You have to get the right sub for the box tho. Also Vibe will custom make you a box designed for a different...
Forte Diesel Treatment is really good. We have had a lot of Diesel cars that fail MOTs because of emissions, fire a can of Forte in give it a blast and passed with flying colours.
Gilly just swap the Red and Yellow wires in the loom that came with Sony over. You should have bullet connectors on those wires.
That is deffo the problem
If you are putting up the best HU in the FAQ which i would say is the Denon Z1, most people are not going to spend the 2.5k asking price for this unit so there is no point.
However you could put up in the FAQ do not buy Sony Xplod. lol
PS Xplod is not actually THAT bad but it is not good...
I dont think you can put this in the FAQ as there is just too much. Personally id say the Dennon Z1 HU is the best HU and the Zapco rnage of amps are the best but i bet there is better out there. It just will never work.
THey make spacers for the dimma kit too or dimma do a set wheels with minus offset.
As long as you get spacers made up that bolt onto the hub and keep the hub centric then youll not have too much problems.
Prima use 17" x 8" wheels with a ET10 offset, then they put a 25mm spacer on the back. If the wheels are just standard Renault offsets you need a 25mm spacer on the front and 50mm on the back to get it the same as these wheels.
Not taking it to heart at all mate, thought you knew i dont take anything to heart!!! You not one for normally apologising to me???
Anyway that would be a good idea fitting them in the car it is comfy as fock!!!
