Again I don't care where anyone takes their car. I might advise against it if they are asking.
I think the problem here is this guy is advertising himself as one thing but using products that achieve another.
You can't have 2 ways of doing thing when you call yourself a detailer offering...
I didn't mean as much these days to be honest. As it's a bigger thing. Even then some classic car shows judged by 70 year old men, you really think they care about swirls?
To your point though if these cars won these concours events with swirly paintwork then how good was the competition...
So you're admitting that new products are better, hence the reason you love G1 so much.
We scoof at some things like chamois' because they actually damage paintwork, I don't care about the owner but doesn't mean we can't discuss how much damage is being done by that or a carwash for example...
One thing you won't get from me is drivel from the next or latest trend mate, I make up my own mind and i'm lucky enough to be privy to the ins and outs of how these products are made and purchased.
Technology moves on, better products come to market, the simple fact is a chamois will do more...
See this is where it falls down. You don't have a reasonable amount of knowledge about detailing, this is the problem. You might think you do but you show lack of basic understanding that shows that you don't.
Infact your whole argument in this thread was based around the chamois comment and...
Pointless would be the wrong word. It's not pointless. Simple fact, a car rubbed over the top of with turtle wax will never look close to a properly corrected car in the flesh.
Again you don't know JD. If you did you would realise that's not quite the case. If it was he would be running around in Father's R8 and drinking Churchill's Pol everyday. He doesn't, he works and drives an 8L S3 bought by himself.
Don't assume anything Chip. Just because he mentioned his...
I've literally no idea what Chip is arguing about, maybe i'm just having a bad day.
If Joe Public wants to get his car valeted and washed by a black man with some rocks fair enough but don't expect people to not to be shocked and to talk about it, bare in mind he could be ruining someone's...
Give it a rest Chip. I still remember the first time I corrected the old Frp and drove into the petrol station, the old guy working said he had never seen a car as clean as that before. Infact he spoke to me for about 30 minutes as it was pretty late on so place was empty.
Bare in mind I had...
I was impressed with Citrus Power but the price was just a bit much.
I prefer just to proper powerwash and snowfoam the car then hand wash. I have all the proper tools and space to do this though, many don't.
Also most of the time I use hazsafe from AS because i'm going to be detailing the...
I just do 2 panels at a time with any wax except Swisswax. I think Dave said you could leave Illusion a while but I never trust many waxes. I only had a play with illusion and it was easy on and off but wasn't on the panel long.
I've tried re-reading it apart from his last mega multi-quote and i'm still at a loss.
He could literally drag the fun out of a threesome with 2 19 year old Swedish models
With due respect chipinator that's poppycock. It doesn't matter how good the chamois is.
Also Richard at Perfection Valet is one of the most respected detailers in Britain. See the name. I agree detailing is a buzzword but you have to justify why you're twice as expensive as the guy down the...
Very fascinating mate. Once you get involved in the ins and outs of the industry things sort of become clear. Looking at accounts like PB and Miracle Detail, all funny reading.
My point was more that AF are in essence basic products hence why other companies sell the same stuff, but I love...
Being authorised is very funny thing in detailing. At the end of the day I could be authorised. To be swisswax authorised you just have to have lots of money.
