Id imagine as long as you are inside the 6 years/72k and the fault can be proven to be the belt and/or one of the associated tensioners then it should be covered.
Have any 197/200 belts actually gone before there time? mine was 5.5 years old when I changed it and it looked good as new.

happy to sell outside eBay if anyone is interested.
That is the most difficult post I've read today. Congratulations.
anything, not anythink
nothing, not nuthink
i could go on but I can't (not carnt) be bothered.
ps, it's likely to be a heat shield I would think.
Ive said this before and I'll say it again. Surely out of all the running costs, road fund licence is one of the cheapest?
Try running my mates MPS, that's near £500 a year to tax.
Actually yes, now you mention it I think it was £250 last year and its £260 now.
see here, https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-tables there isn't a band at £265?!
Has it had the belts done? If so where was it done? Lack of a 'kick' can be timing being out. I have a definite performance increase above 5k in my car.....
I'm not all that near but I'll come and chauffeur him if fuel is covered (if you get no better/closer offers) mk3 r27 though?
No chance I'm handing the keys over to anyone else though!
Ok, so I ordered the full set of tools to do the timing belt on my car this weekend, parcel just arrived and I'm missing the cam pulley locking tool. I have the extended cog needed but not the main tool.
does anyone in the midlands have this tool available that I could borrow today or tomorrow...
A Clio sport mk2 is only 1.4 isn't it? Not much of a step up from the 1.2 you have in terms of performance (if any)
or are we to asume you mean RenaultSport Clio? Ie 172/182?
:rasp:
Unfortunately not in this case, it can only be bought directly from RenaultSport. There are threads on clio197.net. I'll dig out the threads and post them here.
Ignore the belt costs, as long as there is proof of the engine change (proper documented proof, not just his 'word') then they don't...
Hmm sounds like a tough one. Does sound a little like you pulled out on the guy, but at the same time he really should have been able to stop. Proving he was speeding will be very difficult, but your distance fromt he junction should help with that.
Ideally you need witnesses, do you have any?
Looks good for the price.
lemonnobby1 isn't quite correct. The hub ball joints can be replaced, although you'll have to go to Renault Sport not your local dealer for the part (dealers will only sell the complete assembly). I believe they are roughly £70 + someone to fit.
Front brakes aren't...
Even if your insurance was made void because of the plates (it won't) you won't be claiming on your insurance, it's the person who hit you's car insurance that will be paying up. Even if your car wasn't insured full stop, the 3rd party insurance company would have to pay up.
