They probably sold more as a 5 door mate, look at the hot hatch competitors at the time with 3 doors. I do love the look of the Cupra 225, except maybe the boring interior.
Stunning workmanship Russ, I can only begin to imagine how hard it is to do it right. Most poor wraps are caused by wrappers being too lazy to strip anything and just cut into edges.
Terrible colour but at least he went matte, gloss wraps just look so bad. Like Bmw orange people times a...
I totally agree it's not the kind of car that needs or should have flappy paddle or be the only option anyway. I've not doubt they could have charged extra and people would have specced one, stupid people or older people who still like hot hatches.
I didn't say the owners could drive but the cars can still be driven quickly round track by a good driver and enjoy it. I'm not saying it would as much fun as a 172 cup but the point stands, Porkie is a good example, isn't his Porkie flappy paddle? But simply loves his Exige and Cup.
It's not...
I was a bit worried about this box considering how bad their manuals have been. Sloppy both mk2/3 and chocolate in the mk3.
They should just have mated the juke box with a few mods. I love that car!
No rush big guy. Wrote it on the phone so had no idea whether it actually went or not!
Anyway back to this. Dan would you accept any argument that supercars do just fine with flappy paddles. They are drivers cars. Or am I being silly?
What i'm trying to say is the chassis and steering would...
Excellent idea mate. Andy would love to hear back on that one also.
If you do try cleaning them with some shampoo and a detail brush. It'll give a good indication of what will last. :)
The bumper is so weak looking. It's thin with no real width or depth to shout hot hatch.
It doesn't look like a flagship car.
Am I right in saying they're using the standard front wings? I think that was a massive mistake, removes options to beef it up.
Cheers Dave. You can always trust Eibach. That's one thing I like.
Nice to hear someone else doing them. Beats £1000 rrp for Frp suspension.
Wasn't someone selling of Sachs sets cheap last year?
It's just a Red 182 cup with some seats then? ;)
I jest of course. It's just nice to drive the car the way it's meant to be. No doubt the cup shocks would actually suit me better (softer).
No i'd want the Sachs. They're special. Set of Eibachs or whatever is recommended. I'd want it set up less than harsh though i'm not some B road warrior.
Yeah I would enquire about those gear mods. They are a must as is a Sabelt wheel although I thought I seen they did a Red top one, think...
We had a laugh at work about brakes on our last courtesy cars. Citroen C1 brakes, 6 week warranty.
They fell apart on one car after a small amount of miles.
Sounds fair. Very comparable to the Frp at points which helps.
I would have to make a few gearing mods bit like Keith's Trophy. It's a shame as the Mk2 deserved a much better gearbox.
It will stay in the Red. Bouncing off the limiter you would want to change.
I have a lit of different options on my box. It also learns as you go if using it in full auto. Change points etc. i use manual a lot.
Cheers Mike. BG really did corner the market. Strange they were the only people doing it at the time. Unavoidable servicing.
How do you know they're goosed? Oh and did you put the car off the road or just fit the cup shocks for short time?
Of course it will allow the driver to change when required. It's not an 90's slushbox it's still a sports flappy paddle box.
The front of the Fiesta isn't great yet still looks much more appealing at the moment and that's not even in the best colour Blue.
What will be will be, maybe just...
You're on drugs again boy. 2 years easily on side and rear no wiper glass.
RR easy peasy to apply though but then again so is a sealant that would last like Z2.
