Thanks again guys. Much appreciated.
I've never heard many bad things about the 182 at all. Some people have 3 or 4 things go wrong after purchase, I blame bad luck or poor buying.
Thanks mate. I don't worry about the Struts too much. Infact I wish that was all the Frp had to worry about when I had it.
I'm guessing most buy a set of cup shocks to tide them over or go without the car? Either is not a problem.
Rough fuel costs mate real world wise?
The shocks I knew about that's fine. Most have been done before sale anyway. Reminds me of the Frp, car off the road for days to service some brakes!
Thanks for all the help so far chaps, just an option I was exploring. I know what the tax, insurance and rough fuel costs are, consumables...
Being on this forum for so long it's not going to help but on the whole they don't sound too bad. I know some have had nightmares though.
I'm mostly asking about the Trophy in general but the components are all the same.
Excellent Dave! Exciting new stuff. I think it may even sit above Desire.
I like how you mention about the swirl filling, lot of people forget the oils can do that. :)
Just something popped up on Evo, didn't actually know it existed. Of course I would spend this money on a car but I love the idea of that looks with such a frugal well made car. Really appeals to me. Show over go for me.
Specced to 26k with the Kit etc...
Ah, not a bad machine mate, we have 2 lying about. We were actually given them with a new machine we bought. Used them for quite a while, little heavy ish but nice machine.
I know my friend Alan (Exo'd R32 on DW) likes his, he's owned everyone rotary on the market pretty much!
What has happened is this...
He got a quote. It was great. He signed up. Didn't declare or tell the truth. When they found out they told him the true premium. He wanted out. They took a % of the real valuation and boom i'm Columbo.
Yeah i'm a bit of a cat amongst the pigeons so to speak. Give a f**k?
I agree it's an impressive machine, I can use one hand and control it but out the box the pads are poor imo, you'll notice Paul and Russ have change the backing plates etc in the past to suit better pads, making it...
Lols i'm not stating I know facts here. You'd need to be actually thick not to see Mr Dalton is a useful commodity to promote stuff.
I'll say no more. Plenty of eyes and ears in here.
Just like any industry. Messi recommends Adidas boots you buy Adidas boots. Same goes for anything like that.
It's just not as good as the competition especially not for an enthusiast.
Don't listen to Mr Dalton, remember people get paid to promote stuff. Remember his 3M collaboration?
I was out in one before xmas at a local garage, it was on site for an afternoon.
A description? The most generic car ever made. Everything about it is "just a car". If it was a colour it would be beige.
I actually like Golfs for what they do it's just, well, look at it.
