Its alot easier than you think . One of the main things is to keep the wheel clean after each sanding , wash and dry it well before applying more primer / top coat .
You don't need to sand the top coat . But if the lacquer is a little rough you can sand it with very fine wet n dry , 2000...
It probably cost me about £25 - £30 , can't remember exactly now . You'll have loads of filler left even from a small tin , so plenty left for future refurbs .
Upol D Metallic filler . Halfords sell it in smaller tins , about £5.00 .
I used 320 grit , then primed it , sanded it , primed it until i was happy then about 3 or 4 coats of colour until it looked good , then 2 - 3 coats of lacquer .
Your better off getting your paint in rattle cans...

The would imagine the speedo is calibrated for the 182 tyre size :
If you go from the standard 195 / 45 / 16 on a 172 to 205 / 45 /16 your speedo will read over . At 70mph you'll actually be going 71.08 mph
If you go to a 205 / 40 / 16 your speedo will read under and at 70mph you'll be...
1500 grit will do if you can't find any 2000 grit . Don't apply much pressure , let the wet n dry do the work , use soapy water with the wet n dry . Then use Megs scratch X .
Your better off applying the paint in small blobs with a cocktail stick and build it up slowly , let the first coat...

Love the wheels , i'm not normally a fan of colour coded calipers , i would normally say black or silver , but i think the yellow calipers look good with the acid yellow , absolutely love that Vee mate ;)

I just phoned the local stealers , said i wanted J41 Arctic blue touch up paint , and they ordered it , got it a week later .
Its like some of the dealerships can't be arsed ordering stuff . It all comes from the same place , no wonder they get slagged off .
So it would still be worth buying at the right price and getting it unlocked ?
I thought the immobiliser was separate , being part of the ignition barrel so it wouldn't matter what ecu you had in there ?
Slightly off topic , would a 172 ecu be ok in a 182 ? Could it be mapped to a grp n...
This is a pic of what mine are like . They have a letter " M " stamped on the side , so i'm assuming if you wanted a spare key you would have to quote this letter .
