Liking them! Maybe not as much grip as GSD3 Goodyears but there not worlds apart gripwise. I've done shed loads of hard miles (7500 maybe) on them and still have like 4mm of tread left!
I run them at 30psi for normal driving, seen them rise to 34psi when I've driven it hard so think ill drop...
Only picked it up the other day, on the way home a dhl lorry overtook me on the M3, then proceeded to want the lane I was in and pushed me onto the grass and almost into the ditch! Amazingly its only a mirror that I need and hopefuly some light scratches on the door/wing can be pc'd out.
Clio rocked 100,000 miles today so thought i'd give it a quick clean and a few piccies! Amazed the old girl has made it to 100k with having me and previous owner ;)
And both the French sheds! :)
Watch out Fletcher, will be catching you up in no time ;)
Nick
Thats cool Fletch i'm not knocking what your organising as you know I love a good breakfast run also! But i'd want to keep it a small group as you then have an idea what some of the people drive like! As you'll remember last year on one of the runs with sketchy drivers!
Because it turns into a nightmare! As soon as a few people lag behind they start to drive faster to catch up/overtake the public and thats when accidents happen! I've been on a few runs and personally i'd cap it at 10 tops as even then its a lot of people to keep together.
Looks good matey, starting to get somewhere. Sorry I couldnt make it as i've been feeling like death, found out I had a broncial infection so didnt wana give any of you guys it! Not long til llandow now though :)
Brakes look nice ;) Very blingy in gold lol
There not banned John, just need to take it a little easier! Were only there to have a bit of a laugh, but after I got kicked hard as well last week a few people need to calm down a bit.
Had a mk3 as my 1st car, always liked that shape astra. Looks very clean indeed though I think you need to source some standard wheels as they look like the aftermarket irmscher wheels.
If you think that then thats fair enough, but given the price of a maxogen (£250 second hand). I'd put money on the JMS kit to make a noticeable gain in power over the Maxogen.
Its about an hour and a bits drive normally. Last year we met up in Bracknell for 6am, few people missed there alarm but still made it there in good time. The convoys a good laugh and I cant see the point in paying £40+ for a hotel for a show that I normally stay there for around 4-5 hours.
Okay, all brand new or second hand?
And as I have said already some people may want to just buy the kit to save themselves running around to find bits. Obviously you can DIY your own one for less like the one you've done. I've done the same with the setup i've made, made all the heatshield...
