Should have made a lunge for the gap while it was there I suppose?
That's ridiculous, and they wonder why the freshly-passed kids today are just mobile accident blackspots
I pay zero attention to the ratings, given that after about 2000 miles, they're utterly irrelevant.
It's like all the tyre-tests in Evo
"this brand new tyre, being run for all of 40 miles, is amazing"
OK.....what's it like after 6 months? Or are we expected to swap them out the second the...
being an old vectra with 15-yr old suspension, yep, it'll be worse than ever.
and it couldnt go in a straight line when new.
anyway, enough of classic awesome SAABs, back onto Gally's
Thats a Viggen.
a 9-3 with the yamaha 2.3l turbo.
230hp, no front-end rigidity. All the torque steer, but so damn nice.
If he bought one for £500 then it was either
1) not a viggen, just an Aero Spec edition coupe
2) utterly shagged
:)
But they then also got those s**t-awful glasses-rim around the headlights.
There was a small period in '06 where you could have the easy-swap stereo AND a less retarded front end.
But, really....
it's the SAAB we all want :)
exactly!
naaaah, 9-5 are spot on. Ultimate over-sized holdall.
But then, I prefered the older 9-3...the one you could get a coupe of...and a viggen convertible for ultimate can't-drive-forward excitement
Its a slippery slope.
It all starts with "just a remap". Next thing you know you've got a hello kitty swingingt from the rear tow-eye....of a front-dragger car ;)
As for "perfect barge"......
9-5 aero estate ;)
Aeros are for winners. Gotta be black, with black interior.
Map up to to 250 before you start changing mechanicals.
It wont like too much more than that, although it's not exactly a Viggen, so you don't have to fear every roadside item.
Thing is, SAABs aren't for mapping, yo mad turbo...
I find it shocking that physics applies to Apple products.
That's not what we pour excessive amounts of money into their pockets for.
I'm going to Starbucks to write out a complaint on my mechanical typewriter
TV speakers are woeful generally.
As mentioned, soundbar. Less faff and confusion than a surround-sound / hi-fi set-up, the improved sound quality will make for less need for volume
yes! That amount of power should really go through some meatier wire than is used at the moment.
The only possible thin you may try to do is use the wires inside the door grommet, and attach new wires either side, but even then you've got a weakpoint.
Good lad.
It gets better too.
If you can live with only a perfectly-loud-enough level of music, you can do away with the alpine power pack and replacement speakers altogether.
Again, this may not be as impressive to people who actually dont care, but it's about £200 saved which could be used on...
the alpine pack is a good piece of kit, and removes the need to piss about with wiring.
Alpine unit with power pack
Pioneer custom-fit drop-in jobbie compoents
decent 200w sub.
That is all you will ever need. May not be as flash as you want, but it's also a good sight cheaper ;)
I dont have a pressure washer / karcher and find that this stuff still works pretty well. Been using it on listerine since the summer and, along with the Demon bug shifter and some quick wax, it does a good job. May not stick to paint for an hour like some do, but it holds for long enough to...
My '53 plate 172 had climate and cruise.
But it was also an import. I think the giveaway was the Cobra alarm box on the windscreen. Imports didn't have an integrated alarm as standard maybe?
