Morning Graham,
Can't help you with any suggestions, but a lot of people have had the same question over the history of ClioSport. If you dont get many helpful replies on here, have a search.
As long as you dont get "sport" or "cup" parts, they should go on your hatch no problems
:)
Yeah, all bar the nosecone from a Mk2.5 will bolt straight onto yours. There's a reason they're better than poppy-up lights ones....Mk2's came with a decade of development parts already attached from the factory ;)
I only go on Nutz to look at the classifieds now, it seems that 90% of the...
Even 172s had different spec springs depending on which way the wind was blowing in France at the time of build.
As willy says, the coloured painted dot on the spring is what you'll need if just replacing 1 or 2.
otherwise, Eibachs for all 4 corners
Sorry, just spotted how you're pouring Super unleaded into your 5.
No need chap, completely unnecessary, even on y0! JDM spec-R-edition-S imports.
It's an old-tech engine, it doesn't care what fuel you put in it, as long as it's got some octane. Exact same engine spec is used in the US where...
it's not just the spoiler either, but the struts too which are priced as if they're made of Diamond and Titanium.
(Unless you didn't know, OP, without the V6 spoiler struts, the first time you open the boot you'll leave a nice dent in your roof)
Up to about 75w RMS you can get away with tapping into the factory wires by cutting into the loom out of the back of your stereo.
Any more than that and you'll want new, higher-grade wire.
From my experience, the standard speakers, powered by an alpine head unit only, with a sub in the boot...
set of these in the front (are pretty much drop-in)
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/speakers/custom-fit/renault/pioneer-ts-q131c-13cm-custom-fit-components
Then use an ISO intersection to cut your amp speaker-outs into the standard vehicle loom (unless you're going over, say, 75w RMS PER...
If you notice the difference then unless you're already a test driver for some manufacturer, you're in the wrong profession.
There'll be a massive placebo effect when you put the new wheels on, backed up by having a different set of tyres.
But other than that, no, there'll be almost precisely no...
Yeah, that would do it.
But you do need the right leads to mate stereo-to-vehicle, they don't come with the stereo because there are so many different types of possible leas
Mark, you know the sticker is out-of-era with your car.
Here's some learning for you ;)
Because, oh look, the world champion stickers didn't start until the end of 2005, courtesy of one Mr. Alonso
Who helped promote the R26, and R27.
Ultimately, your sticker would refer to the 2005...
That's one way to spend your money, yes. But not what I'm suggesting at all.
You're using amp power to non-stock speakers
I'm saying use HU-power to stock speakers, which unless OP wants to LOTS OF BOOMZ!!!!! (ie, they just want it to be decent quality) is perfectly sufficient.
My concern is...
As for sub.... maybe one of THESE.
Not big enough to take up ALL your boot, but enough power to balance against head-unit output, or upgraded HU output, if you were to also get one of THESE
No sense in a massive sub if you're only using stock speakers and HU power, it would overpower everything.
And stock speakers aren't overly happy with amping.
Depends on how much chav-boom the OP wants really.
As for head unit. Get a decent Alpine and the right lead (might be the wrong link...
Change head unit
add small subwoofer
done.
Stock speakers are actually alright, just rubbish fore bass. take the bass out of the equation and they'll be fine
I find the dazzling problem is more due to oversized school-run faux-x-4s with their xenons on, 2 inches off of my bumper, whilst the driver has a chat with her phone in between glugs of coffee and shouting for Tarquin to be a good boy in the back.
In fairness, that could just be because my...
lol.
No no, you'll never stop spending money on it. The difference is the costs wont be for nice-to-haves, they'll be got-to-have-to-keep-on-the-road costs :(
