Here’s a photo of my a/c delete with the same new design bracket.
I do have more room but I don’t have power steering delete. I don’t know if that makes a difference?
Also I was actually sent the wrong belt with my kit. It was to shorr as it was the one for power steering delete. Make sure...
Am I right in thinking you’ve made your car into a track car and used it once in torrential rain at donnington?
If so get it back on track, several times! Hold off spending more on it and just use it. Then you’ll have the desire to use it more as you’ll want to drive it faster/better than the...
Having done it (but not spun) i’d say your were to close to the edge and the rear wheel locked on the gravel/dirt. You can see the definition of the edge of the track/grass changes (comes in) just as the spin starts.
Just done this and it’s been a pain in the arse! In the end I had to have 7mm removed from the callipers and run a 20mm spacer. The bit I can’t remember is what offset the wheels are?!
It’s so tight it’s untrue. Any wheel weights have to be at the back of the wheel or else they hit the calliper.
Hi
I'm selling my X5.

Side project update-
Two years ago the original engine dropped a valve. I kept the engine with it in mind to make use of it and turn it into a wine rack. Finally the project is complete......
Cars back from cambelt change and.........
It works! Idles fine, drives fine and starts fine! It now has the PMS a/c delete bracket. I haven’t given it the full beans but it feels a little more responsive. Such a relief after what happened last time. Let’s see how we get on.
Just going to do...
Cheers! In answer to your question, hoe long’s a piece of string.......
To have similar with different colours is £250. But it depends on where you live or if you take the car to his (he lives in Bedford). At your house he charges only for fuel costs. Also the ‘art work’ for this design is now...
I had mine applied yesterday. Over the moon with the result. Managed to have the colours blend form Anthracite to liquid yellow which made it harder and more expensive but it was cheaper than I thought it would be!
I wasn’t planning on changing the look of the car but always had a vision after seeing another clio at Mark Fish’s workshop. A mate of a mate did some work on his car so I explained what I wanted, if he could do it and how much it would cost. I was worried about the cost as I wanted it graded...
Thanks, I always try to be honest as i’ve said before. I have made mistakes but with help from a great mate we have done most of the work ourselfs. Most of it on a budget.
I find it crazy it still has a standard engine, clutch and gearbox! But for this year I need to use it more......
Another month down and the car has moved.......... onto the drive today. I’ve been waiting for some bits and the final part of the jigsaw arrived today.
Full cambelt change kit from Renault parts direct (I reccoment them, top service!)
And the new design a/c delete / alternator bracket from...
Fronts are Ferodo DC1.11 pads with band new standard brembo discs. Rears are Ferodo DS3000 pads with standard discs. The front and rear wheels were as dusty as each other. Rear pads are two years old now and i’ve never noticed this much dust before. Fronts I can sort of understand as the new...
Thanks to the weather the car is back together and ready to go..................... to get a new cambelt
Productive day starting with fitting the rear camber shims. Took an early decision to drill out the bolts as they were rusted in place. Bit of a pain job but it’s done now...
Finally the clios out the garage for the first time in 3 months!
It’s had the 300mm brembo conversion removed and replaced with the 280mm brembo conversion and new (second hand!) 15’ speedline 2118s with 888r’s places on it. Old wheels were 16’ TD1.2.
Pretty happy with the look of it. The...
Change of plans. I’m not going to lie, for the first time since owning the clio I got to a stage where I was ready to set fire to it! Basically the new wheels wouldn’t fit. To cut a long story short I’ve sent them back and purchased some 2118’s.
Result as a set came up for the right price...
Looks like TD1.2s then. I like the 2118s so might look for a set of them aswell
First off get the Suzukas back and then start the hunt.
Cheers for the help
Et35 but i’ve tried with a 10mm spacer and it need at least another 20mm on top.
Whith the ET37 2118s do you need a spacer as well?
I do expected to run a spacer but I don’t want this to be massive!
Cheers
Hi
I’ve downgraided my brembo conversion from the 300mm disc to a 280mm disc so I can run a 15’ alloys going forward. I splashed out on some brand new Calibre Suzuka wheels but they are fouling on the inner step of the alloy by quite some way. Luckily I can return them but i’m interested in what...
The first one I owned was this mint Orion 1.6i ghia. Awesome car until a went to work one morning, span on a patch of black ice and carried an Orion to escort conversion out on a lamppost.
The drivers seat hadn’t been reclined, it pulled the floor up and snapped down the centre. I then...
