I thought CC was standard on 182's? But you're true on it needing both. I just tend to think if someones paid for the additional suspension they're go for the spoiler/splitter too!
It could be that when removing the spoiler you've pulled at the cabling. Remove the little grommet and have a look, or pop down the headlining although i'm not really sure what there is to see.
You sure the battery is OK?
You could have a look behind the bottom trim in your boot at the earths...
Very odd. I didn't have any problems myself mate! Plug your brake light back in and see if it makes a difference, what was that electrical tape hiding?
Did you disconnect the neg terminal at all? Check that the earth nut on that is securely fastened. You got a picture of the connector that you...
Two 172's just near my house whilst I was walking up the road. Guy in the silver one stopped and got out, but didn't seem like he really wanted to talk.

Under the cup spoiler are some 'holes' but I'm pretty sure there's nothing underneath that would get damaged. What I did was tape up the holes, and wrap up the cup spoiler cabling in some tape and fastened it down so it wasn't flying about. I wasn't driving the car, but just wanted to avoid it...
Well I'm an idiot. If anyone else experiences this problem, make sure you've not used the LED live as your ground. All sorted now! Won't make the same mistake again.
We have an S40 sat on the driveway if you're interested. Although @leeds_182 is closer. Think the sills are pretty dodgy on it now but was very well looked after when it was on the road!
