Collinite 476S is great for durability. It's my 'go to' wax when detailing work colleagues cars that I know will never see a decent wash (nevermind wax) for another 6 months.
No. It's the part of the screen that doesn't have the UV protection incase you have parking permits/passes that can't be read by systems through the UV protected area of the screen.
From what I understand of it anyway.
Ade's Renaultsport 182 Project
Et voila!
They are painted the same colour as Audi wheels. Laquer still needs to air overnight so I'll brave the elements fitting them tomorrow!
If you need to restore them from a hazey state then as above the 3M kit is fantastic.
To protect them from the elements I use Collinite 476S wax (£17 a tin) and give mine a good coat every 4 weeks or so. It's very durable (8-12 months) and as its made for the bodywork it doubles up well to...
Protyre on Blackpool Old Road should be able to help providing you are running stock suspension. Couldn't help me with setting up my KW V2's though as they can only set to factory settings.
The K's relate to the colour temp, not the brightness.
My Xenarcs are rated at 4300K, think my previous blue bulbs were about 6700K.
The Xenarcs are quite cheap here http://www.powerbulbs.com/product/xenarc-d2s-single?gclid=CJamwOiCsbwCFQgHwwodQVoArg
I can't vouch for the company/site though...
I saw the e-mail too and realised this is going to cost me dearly.
My first AF product was Finale and I love the results so looking for reasons to buy more AF stuff!
I've had the bulbs that came with the car which were OK but far from what I expected for xenon bulbs in a brightness perspective.
Then some really blue ones from a HID kit which looked the part but were shocking for visibility.
Now I'm running Osram Xenarcs which are pricey bulbs (£90 per...
If it idles at 1,000RPM once warm then it's mapped. Easiest way to tell. About 800RPM is stock map.
You could use a map countless times but I believe now you can't do that and have to buy a remap license and remap for each vehicle.
The RSTuner flattens out the 5K kick as it spreads the torque more evenly, once mapped with the Fastchip 98Ron map the F4R pulls quite well from 3,000RPM. From my experience the KTR Style induction kit only feels like it benefits above 5K, but could that be purely because it restricts at lower...
I always get lots of positive comments about my Heko deflectors besides a few under-educated work colleagues ill-informing me that I have left my windows open!
Car is looking good but make sure to get the coilovers set up properly! Mine ended up being raised higher than I'd set it to get the...
I agree.
Ran a 'KTR-Style' kit for 6 months and thought it was the dogs danglies as I got that "5K kick" back even after the RSTuner map. Plus the noise, I really loved that!
However once I broke a jubilee clip and had to go back to stock intake with a panel filter, I realised the apparent...
Invested in a Nilfisk E140 2-9S X-tra pressure washer a few days ago.
Then a CYC Snow Foam lance with Bilt-Hamber Auto Foam was ordered shortly after... then decided I needed a durable wax/sealant so I have some Collinite 467s on it's way also.
Leave anything on display and people will try to take it.
I left an iPod lead hanging out my glovebox and thieves attempted to break into my Clio on the off chance there was something connected to it.
Hi,
Just swapped my old battery out and left this unplugged as the new battery has a black cover over it and I'm not sure this cover should be removed. What is it for and should I connect it up? Car went on a lengthy drive after to ensure the battery was fully charged and I've had no lights...
Looked very clean! CS sticker on rear window.
I was in the Titanium 182 with black Turini's that was alongside you around the roundabout until the BMW driver in front of me forgot where his accelerator was.
Re: Ade's Renaultsport 182 Project
The traffic police are really clued up here so I'd be pulled instantly for a 3/4 front plate but I agree about the carbon number plate surrounds. They will be removed once spring comes.
I wanted silver Turini's, closely followed by anthracite ones, but...
You need to be relatively picky about who did the cambelt/dephaser though. My 182 was tipex-timed before it went to Fred with a rattling dephaser, and he told me the timing was out. Best bet as Beasley suggested would be to sign up as a Club member on here and haunt the "Cars for sale" section...
If they need a refurb add £200.
If they need decent rubber add £300.
Your £200 suddenly becomes £700. I factored this in when looking for Turini's for mine. For £200 I imagine they are far from mint with 'ditchfinder' rubber wrapped around them.
Re: Ade's Renaultsport 182 Project
Thanks Andrea, nice to meet you and your dad too. Seems you've bought a really nice 182 which should be a great foundation to build upon.
If you get anymore lights and want it scanning again with the RSTuner then just give me a shout.
Re: Ade's Renaultsport 182 Project
BodyTech just off Ashfield road in Bispham. Got a few quotes but the lads there took the time to explain how they would go about the work instead of just saying "we do a good job £350" so used them and the work is top notch. Courtesy car is pants though!
