I collected Jack's last night. Firmware and all his games downloaded and installed in less than 50 minutes. Amazon will hopefully be delivering mine today.

Correct. Though this is the Xbox thread not PS5 thread. PS5 launches tomorrow, not Xbox. Game got 60 Series consoles for launch last week, they are getting 281 PS5s for tomorrows launch. Phil Spenser has said that stock of Series consoles will remain low to zero until 2021.

I nipped into my local game this morning and paid for my son’s digital edition. Gonna collect it tonight so I don’t need to get up early tomorrow and endure the madness of the shops with lockdown looming on Friday.

6800 you mean? Canada's biggest seller of electronics didnt get any for launch day (today). Can't see many being available tbh. So much for the shade AMD threw onto Nvidia for not having any stock available at launch.

My Asus Strix 1080Ti (now my son's) is pretty bad for coil whine. Though did only do it when worked hard ie. Overclocked and utilisation over 95%.

Get yourself a new DP cable. Does your GPU have 2 DP connections? Try the other one if you havent already.

Also @Moonshot you should get yourself MSI afterburner for over locking the GPU. FTW3s are a very good overclocker. Just Google "best overclock for 1080Ti FTW3". There are loads of recommended settings.

Make sure your fans are PWM firstly. If they ain't PWM you won't be controlling anything. As for how to control them? I have mine set in the bios. I have an Asus motherboard and it's called QFan control. I can set curves, set spin up delays and change what temp sensor to use as a measurement...

I watched this vid on how to setup after building it: He did do a newer more up to date version but I think this is the better version.

You wont get g-sync on HDMI. Gotta be display port. You'll max out at 60Hz on HDMI.

Also. Get windows installed and then install your motherboards latest firmware. Do this before all else in case it bricks stuff up during.

I had an issue where I couldn't get I to the bios for a bit. Changing the DP cable sorted it. Dunno why though.

I'm off all week so plan on hitting it hard.
